I like reading TVTropes for what it is, just some site on the internet. It kind of reminds me of "Jump the Shark" before it went to hell. It don't love it or take it seriously. But when you pull back the curtain and look at all the "tropers" and the extra sub-pages...  So I avoid that.

i liked when tvtropes was just a way to kill time by clicking on one article and seeing which links would appeal to you enough to click them. then people started to make a whole community out of it and it turned to poo poo i don't even care about it anymore, and i think a lot of goons feel the same way, but you gotta keep PYF buzzing somehow

They kind of only post the worst of the worst in the thread, since most tropers are just harmless, boring nerds and there's only so much you can get out of making fun of somebody for really liking Buffy.
