I only just realised that posts from people on your ignore list (all one person of it) still show up when you're replying to a thread. Anyway, I have finished my assignments for the year (first year of my masters) and am looking forward to a solid few months of volunteering/dole bludging. Even just the "get to have sex with lady horses until you die, what a life " bit: look at how many of the racing horses are geldings. It's often the dads of successful racehorses who get to be put out to stud and have sex with all the lady horses, rather than the winners themselves. And we are the ones who bred them to have unnaturally long, thin, spindly legs good for running fast but easy to break in the first place. So they want to run, as their genes tell them to, sure, but because of how much we've hosed their genes up it becomes legitimately life-threatening for them. Wait why am I responding to this e: also "common" oh my god e: About that Tony Abbott huh, what a loving grub CROWS EVERYWHERE fucked around with this message at 01:02 on Nov 5, 2014 |

It's really understandable that a lot of clients are deciding it's easier to stay at home this week.

Re halalchat: my favourite yoghurt brand has been halal certified for ages. Shockingly, all it functionally means is that they don't have alcohol or pig bits in there and have someone checking that they don't put it in. When I'm eating out I like it when the food is labelled as halal because it means 1) there are likely to be fewer racist dickweeds involved in food preparation and 2) places with halal certification tend to take it seriously when you ask about animal products or gluten in their food. I've never had a halal-certified place bring me out a pumpkin soup with a big slab of bacon on top or a salad with shredded chicken bits and croutons and try to pass it of as "just garnish" (and then try picking it out of my food with their hands and think that makes it all right).
