When I was that age was always had these weird thoughts, like not quite voices but clearly different from my other thoughts. Most of the time it was just telling me a lot of pointless things, sometimes a bit more disturbing things like that my sister wanted to kill me, ect. I think a lot of people have this issue, but the real problem I had was I thought the voices were god, or maybe sometimes the devil. It made my life kind of suck, especially since the voice didn't want me to tell anyone about it, but when I was about 11 it started getting really weird. It was always about telling me to mutilate myself, pluck out my eyes ect. I knew that if I didn't do those things, I would go to hell forever. Luckily I knew that god had to forgive me no matter what, so long as I eventually did the things the voices said, I would be fine. It was still pretty scary to think that if I died accidentally or something that was it, hell forever. It was really cool when I first realized god might not exist, then the voice would have no power, it would just be a figment of my imagination. I still remember the feelings of relief it gave me.

I only believe in Science which is why I do double blind experiments to see if its safe outside before leaving the house. I make decisions only after reading tons of journal articles. I also voted various versions of the bible 1 star on amazon and goodreads

I unironically believe that SA should have a forum for religion, spirituality and personal growth. It would be a subforum of the "Discuss things like adults" forum, which I also believe SA should have.
