The Democrats don't currently control the Senate because they pretend that they need 60 votes for almost anything, and they will never have 60 votes. The Republicans are running the show already anyway. The only difference is that now Obama gets policial cover to approve Keystone XL, get the TPP done ("NAFTA x 1000"), and he'll probably get his Grand Bargain to cut Social Security as well.
