Well that was not the end to the period I was expecting or wanting.

Ryan Faragher-an ECHL rookie-played on Wednesday. Had he not given up 3 goals in the first period Wednesday against Bridgeport, it might have been different. No one's Gibson or Andersen and they're hard to find

Bobkov seems like he will be a career AHL'er. Ducks will probably draft a goalie this year(if there are any available)

Goalie class doesn't look great this year; you might see a deadline move. They tried to get some D in the system this year; definitely need a G or two and then scorers

Cool, Hawks badly out-shoot their opponents and lose once more. Not getting tired of this at all, no siree

I'm not sure they deserve to win because of those awful last five minutes of the 2nd period

post game notes from http://blogs.edmontonjournal.com/2014/11/07/edmonton-oilers-player-grades-boyd-gordon-caps-late-comeback-as-oil-slide-by-sabres-3-2/ #26 Mark Arcobello, 8. Scored a huge third-period goal for the second night in a row, this one to tie the count at 2-2 with 8 minutes to play. Led all forwards in ice time (!) at 19:21, in shots on goal with 7, and in faceoff attempts and percentage (an impressive 18/26=69%). Contributed to 7 Oilers scoring chances and none against in what was demonstrably his best game of the season. #27 Boyd Gordon, 8. In many ways it was a typical Boyd Gordon kind of game, in which he started 10 times his own end at even strength to just once at the Buffalo end of the ice, yet his line dominated in possession and shots (+10/-4 on the shot clock in his 12 even strength minutes). Also contributed two shifts to Oilers lone penalty kill, a key one early in the third. Even had 2 of his line’s 9 hits, and 3 of their 9 shots. 11/21=52% on the dot, including one d-zone draw he pulled back with the knob of his stick. Fundamentally sound in the defensive zone, highlighted by a textbook backcheck to thwart Zemgus Girgensons’ hard drive to the net front. Saved the best for last when he notched the game-winning goal late in the third, driving hard to the net and dropping to one knee to make sure he deposited Purcell’s feed into the yawning cage. If there’s anybody on this club who deserves to be the hero once in a while, it’s this guy.
