what is net neutrality, and, like what is net negativity or positivity? isn't it supposed to be what it is? i think that's why it exists man

if the internet is classified as a public utility (like water) it puts a lot of restrictions on companies abusing it for profit. there will still be dragnet surveillance on the whole thing, it will just be a little bit less expensive/mo

But Ted Cruz said something stupid, therefore Obama is right.

It's almost as if this all happened on purpose... Like both sides are on the same side.

is net-neutrality supposed to be like the failed experiment of a free laissez-faire economy, or does it have merits other than being a red herring? i probably just imagined the consensus was that its failure was a result of its lack of an unambiguous definition, and that it is no longer an issue

Net neutrality (also network neutrality or Internet neutrality) is the principle that Internet service providers and governments should treat all data on the Internet equally, not discriminating or charging differentially by user, content, site, platform, application, type of attached equipment, or mode of communication.

Only thing we can do is not vote for these people. In this case Obama lied on his original 2008 campaign saying he would never appoint ex lobbyists. So there is nothing we can do except give awareness to people both in real life and on the Internet.

If anyone in Twitter or FB says they can't believe people are anti NN or that anti NN people are stupid, just simply tell them "I support NN but the FCC who is headed by a Comcast lobbyist should not be regulating the Internet, Google Tom Wheeler"

Or
Simply say, "im gay"

No downfall at all, the problem is that the people who write the laws are exactly the people who benefit from it not being illegal.

Once the internet becomes a public utility I hope that they not only step up surveillance of suspected terrorists but that we can also pay more every month to keep great sites up which require a lot of bandwidth.
