MALE SHOEGAZE posted:ingredients for gravy: I think maybe the issue here is that your soup is actually just gravy. You're supposed to put broth and vegetables in soup, that's what makes it OK to eat. You are very confused about something, hopefully we can help you figure it out my friend!

if gravy isn't just greatly reduced meat drippings you are doing it all wrong champ. flour has no place in gravy. gently caress your thickeners. learn to reduce.

I'll roast an entire chicken, use its giblets to add to the gravy. Make a huge batch of mashed potatoes, maybe some collard greens or some green beans. Then I'll just throw all that poo poo away and drink the gravy from a warmed old-style ice cream glass with a straw. Nude and prone on my kitchen floor while inhaling the scents of the effort.

It's got two components, 'fries', and 'gravy' that are eaten hot. Are you just talking about the curds being either fresh or fried? I'm struggling to understand how it could even reasonably be presented as a chilled dish.

MALE SHOEGAZE posted:ingredients for gravy: just fry an onion gently, add seasoning, maybe a tiny bit of butter but its not needed. Then let that cook for a bit without browning. mix a tablespoon of cornflower with a splash of water in a cup, then add to onions and add meat or vegetable juices, a good helping of red or white wine. Then I cheat and also add a stock pot. Let that all simmer down, done.

My mom used to pack me a thermos of hot gravy for lunch during the winter months when I was in elementary school. There's nothing wrong with drinking pure gravy by itself in fact its quite common and normal up here in the great white north.
