I lived in Ohio for a couple of years. It's very flat and there are suburbs and dead malls everywhere. Ohio drivers are terrible and the roads are worse. But that one week in March where the magnolias and cherries bloom it's really pretty

But in the most backhanded defense of Ohio drivers, I've kinda gotten used to the lovely totally-unaware-of-surroundings, drive-50-in-the-fast-lane, old person style driving around here. It's easier to compensate for than the outright meanspiritedness of drivers in some other places I've been. Counterpoint: I've been rear-ended at red lights so many times I've lost count. Seriously.
