Have you considered your local library lately? They aren't just for poors and vagrants, libraries are hip to you. Seriously, these days you can check out Kindle books, electronic magazines and audiobooks. And not just old poo poo, like current best sellers and magazines. Ever wanted to see what 50 Shades of Grey was all about without the shame of anyone seeing you with it? Bam! Free and legal and without any public shame. Do you want to read Go get a library card rear end in a top hat.

Every time I go to study at the library, disheveled ladies sit down next to me, mumbling to themselves while they open mail from a huge pile. Then they tear up each piece of mail and put it in a plastic bag, then they take out a notebook and make notes about something

The only thing the library is superior to the internet for is learning about specific things incredibly in depth. But there is no need to ever do that unless you are autistic or doing legitimate research.

Stay safe mowing ghost. Is the mowing ghost Hank Hill? Ok so libraries are good. This is a good thread. Libraries have good books and give a place for the homeless to hang out with kids, breaking down social barriers that prevent us from seeing poverty for what it really is: a wacky adventure.

Some Wikipedia pages are made by the autistic, evidenced by the high level of edits occurring every micro-second as they all fight about what time exactly the No. 56 Special left Tulsa Station in 1934.

My library is pretty cool they have a decent selection of blurays and ps3 games and get more fairly often. Lots of TV shows on DVD too. They also have an online search / reservation system and you can request poo poo and they'll fuckin' buy it and automatically reserve it for you first and it works with all the libraries from nearby towns too so they'll ship stuff over to your local one for pickup/dropoff. I requested they to buy some TMNT comics, and they did. I sort of want to just dump all the movies on my amazon wishlist into the requests and see what happens.

KILL IT WITH FIRE FROM ORBIT, GETTING TRIGGERED BY THE HOMELESS HERE That's just not true, I live in a major urban center and we banned homeless people. The homeless sued and the courts said you can only have like a couple of areas where there is a public interest in tourism and such without homeless so the homeless are kicked out of my neighborhood if they start getting all beggy.

Whoa, I legitimately didn't know you could get audio books in digital form from libraries. That's actually look-inotable. I thought libraries were just a place for homeless people to go bm.

In fact, there is probably even a Subway or Mcdonald's nearby in the event that you or a loved one needs to give birth to a child

I thought libraries were just a place for homeless people to go bm. What's dumb though is the book publishers control this so it's totally rear end-backwards (mostly from the library's perspective). The library has to buy multiple "copies" of a digital file if they want to check out more than one at a time. Somehow they've made a business where someone has to pay to let one person at a time access a digital file even though it could be checked out to everyone all the time. I believe there is also a point where it has been checked out "too many times" and must be re-bought because of course a real book would be totally useless after being checked out 30 times right?

Libraries are great. The one near me was recently remodeled and is really clean and nice and has so many cozy corners to curl up and read books in. There's also a guy who works there who was in a somewhat popular local band 15 or so years ago called The Mighty Mofos. Now he works at the library.
