 Last night the Sabres won big, scoring six whole goals! Now, six goals in a single game is a lot for any team, but this was especially notable for a Sabres team that had so far topped out at three on the season, and had only accumulated 22 total goals across their first 18 games. This means that last night, Buffalo scored 21.5% of their goals so far this season in that one single game. What I'm curious about is how long it will take for this game to account for less than 10% of Buffalo's goals scored this season. So we're having a contest. It looks something like this. The Question: In which game will Buffalo score their 61st goal of the season? Tie-Breaking Question: How many points will Sidney Crosby have when this happens? Optional Bonus Challenge in Honour of Mike Works: Create an artistic representation of any moment from last night's game. Any art form is acceptable, except maybe Haiku. Multiple entries are allowed. The prizes will be, at minimum, a forums upgrade of choice for the winner of the main question and the submitter of the best artwork. I reserve the right to either add or augment prizes at will, most likely either if Buffalo takes really comically long to hit 61 goals or there's a really super awesome submission for the bonus challenge. Entries for predicting the Sabres' goal totals will be closed at puck drop of the Buffalo-Washington game next Saturday. Entries for the bonus challenge will stay open until Buffalo scores goal #61.
