For sitcoms that haven't already been mentioned, Plebs and Friday Night Dinner are pretty good. Also the British Parliament. Oh yah, 15 Storeys High.

Monty Python is a total troll upon people who enjoy British sitcoms unironically (hello, Whovians) and don't realize how loving stupid they look to normal folk with functioning brains.

Father Ted is not a sitcom. It's an accurate portrayal of life in rural Ireland.

All the best sitcoms, British or otherwise, have laugh tracks so I don't mind them. The best ones are when they have Screechy Woman or Coughing Fit Man.

You're right they do but I don't think that makes laugh tracks an okay thing, I love league of gentlemen but drat rewatching it now and it's so weird having a dark comedy with an obnoxious laugh track.

Biting political satire that's as relevant today as it was 30+ years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSD1d-6P6qI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmOvEwtDycs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0ZZJXw4MTA communism bitch fucked around with this message at 14:26 on Nov 17, 2014 |
