Quick reads are out and ventures into weird running back trends and Andy Dalton's tops the DYAR list for the week: http://www.footballoutsiders.com/quick-reads/2014/week-11-quick-reads

1. Andy Dalton - You'll recall that last week Dalton was in last place with -190 DYAR, so this is a swing of 352 DYAR from one week to the next. That is literally like going from replacement level one week to Ben Roehtlisberger's 526-yard, six-touchdown game (which scored 355 DYAR) the next. He was nearly perfect keeping drives alive against New Orleans. On third downs, he went 7-of-8 for 117 yards, with every completion gaining a first down, including one touchdown. A ninth third-down throw resulted in a 7-yard DPI.

28. Eli Manning - Five picks will do that to you, especially when they come on short routes. On passes to receivers within 3 yards of the line of scrimmage, Manning went 6-of-13 for 19 yards with no first downs and three picks.

Good loving lord, the Saints are so hilariously bad against passing 3rd downs.

My favorite thing about the WPA/EPA is that they don't lead to any surprising conclusions at all. Like, yep, JJ Watt is really loving good what a revelation. It's not like something like WAR that attempts to boil down disparate parts of a player's game into one number which leads to things like "Hmm, maybe Ben Zobrist is better than he gets credit for."

what stupid idiot team is gonna take a flyer on a slightly used Darren McFadden

Nobody? The league isn't nearly as desperate and stupid about RBs as it used to be. I mean, I guess he could end up on a roster next season, but I'm sure it won't be with RB1 expectations.

So Watkins, Beckham, Landry, Evans, Benjamin, Brown (im sure I am forgetting a few) are all going to be bonafide stars, what an amazing class of WRs

edit: even Davante Adams and Donte Montcrief could blow up, just too many good WRs in front of them on their rosters

Brandin Cooks looked pretty good before he went out.

I don't think RG3 will ever be good again. When has anyone who looked as atrocious as he does this season ever been turned around, really? Doesn't he have another year left in Washington anyway? RIP Bobby.
