There's still a ton of skill involved in catching a ball one handed, but the gloves for sure help. It's why it pisses me off seeing guys think they're tough and old school not use them. I dunno, I never used gloves when I played at various levels and I prefer the no glove touch than to gloves. The only time I have worn then is when it so cold that your hands get slippery, then they are a huge benefit. On the other hand, I don't get people that play baseball/softball without batting gloves so v v
