Why can't we have some audio goodness in the OP? We have couple of reviewers, some listeners and at least 3 8th doctor avatars in this thread!

Some starting recommendations for where to start would be good. I'm still working through 8th Doctor audios, but I'd recommend Dark Eyes 1 as the best starting point for him. Blood of the Daleks would be another good start.

I didn't personally like the Storm Warning that much. Also starting from there, "Minuet in Hell" is the 4th episode you'll hear!

"Billie Piper is fairly 3 dimensional, not a Scream Queen, and has realistic reactions. " For Shame Astroman! For Shame! Also Surprising number of people really liked the 2nd episode: "The End of the World". I thought that was panned as pretty awful by our collective hivemind.

I might have a problem. Lately I've been listening to 4th doctor adventures, which were surprisingly good. More passive Doctor and Action packed Leela fit very well together. I haven't actually seen any of the old serials, but I can Imagine Leela being all: But this is what I "see" when listening to the Doctor: Can't help it. 4th Doctor IS an Old Man for me, not the dashing scarf-wielding hero.

After The War posted:Luckily, there's a cure for that. Usually we start you off on a course of Robots of Death , then choose the treatment according to your response. Well... I watched and liked it enough to check the Leelas first episode The Face of Evil and onward up to Image of The Fendahl . I consider The Face of Evil, Robots of Death Good episodes and I really really enjoyed The Talons on Weng-Chiang. Although I can't see how Audio-Dramas based on Jago and Litefoot could work. Has anyone listened those and are they any good? Horror of Fang Rock was mostly bad, but Leelas had some good moments. The invisible Enemy and Image of Fendahl are just bad. ugh!.

I'm here innocently listening to the Dalek Empire 4, when surprisingly familiar, annoying voice starts to speak. I didn't realize Noel "Mickey the Tin-dog" Clarke was a Big Finish Alumni and apparently in a big role in the series. He's probably going to ruin this play for me. Not because anything he does in episode, but because I'm constantly reminded about his awful character in Main Who!

At least 8th Doctor episodes don't change companions from episode to episode!

I'd say the 7th season was the season that dropped the ball. 5th & 6th Season had so many balls in the air, that I didn't care if 1 or 2 got dropped in the background. As a whole it worked. 7th Season dropped the heavy continuity and tried more individual stories and no two-parters. I like both of those and clearly Moffat is better at doing serial-stories. It didn't help that we had half year of companions that had overstayed their welcome and rest of the season was spend with one that didn't get any characterization until the 8th season.
