Peter Purves' Hartnell isn't as good as Frazer Hines' Troughton, but it's still quite good. He does a solid job of channeling his younger self, but Maureen O'Brien really stole the show as Vicki. Uncanny. Even more so then Wendy Padbury's Zoe, if only because of the sheer difference when she uses her "normal" voice narrating. Now try a William Russell/1st Doctor story, he's wonderful to listen to.

Because no one wanted it.

BSam posted:Don't forget the Early Adventures, I've heard them all so far and they're really good! I've only listened to The Bounty of Ceres so far and Peter Purves owns. He also does a great Hartnell impression: his voice may not sound exactly the same but he's got the mannerisms down to a tee. After about five minutes I had forgotten that it wasn't actually him.

Well apparently the "Key to Time" box set is out of print in R1. I found this out by trying to order it in December when they had it marked down to $45 and them not sending it to me because they ran out. And now there's only used ones that are $90+
