Cameron Diaz is a solid performer. That sounds like damning with faint praise, but it seems like she gets regarded as an annoying flibbertigibbit more than an actual comedic talent, but she's always done well in whatever she's in. She is, yet again, a repeat host, and one who, unless my memory is failing me, has turned in great episodes in the past. Forget about that, though, CLICK THE VIDEO RIGHT BELOW THIS

Mark Ronson is a British singer/musician who's made most of his living doing collaborations with people you've actually heard of. You very well may know of him because of this version of Valerie, which I knew of as a signature song of Amy Winehouse, but apparently was on Ronson's second album. In this case, he's bringing along Bruno Mars, which is super cool, guys!

Before it looks like I'm a fanboy or something, I had never heard of Ronson before he was announced. Uptown Funk is just a bitchin' jam, y'all, it fuckin' rocks so much

One of my favorite all-time SNL sketches invovled Cameron Diaz. She was in a kids show sketch hosted by Tim Meadows. Everyone wore the first letter of their name on their shirts. The entire joke of the skit was Tim Meadows trying to stop them from inadvertently spelling the word "gently caress."

Tonight a Thanksgiving classic, Paul Simon with George Harrison from the second season, 1976!

http://snltranscripts.jt.org/76/76h.phtml

Much like Simon's stint the year before on the second-ever episode of Saturday Night, this was more of a music special than sketch comedy variety show, and that's fine by me. Simon's Turkey outfit monologue and 3 solo numbers, two live Simon & Harrison performances, two Harrison music videos... and Quarry, better tasting 'cause it's mined. That's really all we need tonight. And Weekend Update, Jane Curtain's second time doing it, keep that too. The 4 (!) sketches that comprise the other 20 minutes of showtime aren't worth a hill of beans imo.

And speaking of Thanksgiving, don't forget to check out the SNL Thanksgiving Special this Wednesday at 9/8c!

My name is Oliver Queen...
Was Charli XCX already on this year when Iggy Azalea was the music guest or did they sample her voice or use a no name singer? I can't remember and don't want to bother looking into it.

Uptown Funk has been blasting on my speakers for the past few days, so I'm definitely excited for the performance.

And if this means we get Bruno in a sketch, even better. His episode was really good.

Government works like this under both parties. What Obama isn't doing isn't special. I don't think they're so much attacking the man behind it, but the system itself.

But hey everything is either left or right now and if you can't agree guess it can't possibly be funny
