John Brown posted:R2a. The roster requirements are set by your playbook type. Any multiple or pro style will require 2 FBs since you need a starter and a back up. Air Raid/Run & Gun shouldn't. P/K are the only roster spots where you can carry a single player.

Would like to get us into pre-season recruiting tonight if possible. Anyone need more time for cutting players? Let me know. I'll definitely give us more time on the pre-season recruiting step, unless I can see that everyone has spent all their points already. Trying to stay slightly behind the ACC so I can see how ZSB progresses and when he starts a new post for the new season..

I'll need time tonight for cutting players (i'll be suprirsed if I have that many to cut but still). I'll also prb start the ACC's new poo poo tonight as well. I've been getting really lazy about my OPs though for new seasons after 4 years of doing them.

Advanced to the pre-season now. I'll start a new thread when we're getting close to advancing. Since we have 9 users, I'm going to just try to schedule everyone to have a variety of good opponents, but if any goons want anyone special, let me know and I'll try to accommodate. If there are any tricks to this that any other commishes want to let me know about, please do.

I usually just create a matrix of choices on paper and work from there. I never found any tricks to it

I always gave everyone 1 ranked opponent, 1 P5 unranked team, and 1 mid major easy game (with a 9 game schedule). With an 8 game schedule I usually just added another P5 team. I tended to try and either manufacture rivalries I think should exist (i often schedule PSU for VT), and I always make sure that every neutral site game hosts a user team each year cause that's fun. Other than that I also make sure everyone has at least 6 home games but no more than 7. I did the home game #s to avoid 1 user having a bunch of extra recruiting visit chances. I also aimed to avoid having more than 3 away games in a row if possible (sometimes the game fucks you and you can't avoid it). I didn't stick strictly to home & home rules in that depending on how it worked out I might want a user to have a CPU rivalry game at home to help with recruiting/balancing the schedule when irl they wouldn't play at one teams home site in back to back years. Sometimes I try and remember who I started them with so I can revisit them later.

In a league this size I would give everyone 6 user games, and make sure they are also facing top CPU teams. I'd also make sure they have an equal number of home/away games.

Any issues? Dio, do you want me to get rid of your double bye? I checked the other open spots for both you and A&M and this seemed to result in the best schedules without much fuss on my part.

I'm R2A. Doubt I can out recruit most of the dynasty seems like all the top recruits only want to come to our schools with Alabama first, UF second and a mix of the rest of us in 3-6.

I don't know about that. I got a bunch of top defensive players who want me, but my OL is poo poo and all the recruits so far are poo poo. I got 3 really high quality MLBs with me at #1 tho
