tbh though that's only like 1% of tattoo havers, most fit perfectly into your description

Yeah if you get some trashy flash off the wall at the first shop that has breathing bodies in it and vibrating sewing needles

Gauges are way scarier because like, that poo poo is over. You pull them out? You got dangly rear end earlobes.

I don't know why that seems worse

Most of the people I know with facial piercings and gauges and such are right around the age where they are starting to have to choose between having the piercings and getting good jobs.(Though a couple lucky ones found jobs that were at least able to accept some of their stuff) It's weird how noticeably plain and/or ugly most of their faces are now that they no longer have piles of distractions on them. Also, lol at the guy on my facebook who freaked out about "cultural" bias because some lovely job turned him down and he assumes it was because of his giant gauges you could probably fit a pop can through.

Tattoos are cool as gently caress though as long as you get good ones and don't launch into giant speeches about them.

Protip: Get a reminder tattoo, like the name of your little brother who died from leukemia or the phrase "I will not be afraid" in huge script so that when you forget you can look down and think "oh yeah I almost forgot about my brother", or "oh yeah I almost forgot to not be afraid". Thanks for reminding me, tattoo!

There's surgery to fix stretched earlobes. It's reported to be one of the fastest growing procedures so it sounds like a lot of people have changed their minds or realized no one wants to hire them.

I think tattoos and piercings can look good a lot of the time but I knew people in college who just turned 18 and decided to get a tattoo just because they can and that was pretty much always a disaster.

Genital piercings are a different story though that poo poo's fuckin gross and probably an indicator of being a serial killer or something

Soiled Meat
The Papuan slaughters his enemies and devours them. He is not a criminal. But if a modern person slaughters someone and devours him, he is a criminal or a degenerate. The Papuan covers his skin with tattoos, his boat, his oars, in short everything he can lay his hands on. He is no criminal. The modern person who tattoos himself is either a criminal or a degenerate. There are prisons in which eighty percent of the inmates have tattoos. People with tattoos not in prison are either latent criminals or degenerate aristocrats.
The urge to decorate one's face and anything else within reach is the origin of the fine arts. It is the childish babble of painting. But all art is erotic.
A person of our times who gives way to the urge to daub the walls with erotic symbols is a criminal or a degenerate. What is natural in the Papuan or the child is a sign of degeneracy in a modern adult. I made the following discovery, which I passed on to the world: the evolution of culture is synonymous with the removal of ornamentation from objects of everyday use.
