Our true freshman running back, just barely 19 years old, just ran for 427 yards and 5 touchdowns in a single game, and was pulled with 13 minutes left. My god. Samaje Perine is a loving monster. So excited to watch him over the next few years.

The general sentiment I've gathered from postgame radio, media, etc. in the past two hours is that Pelini may well be gone if we lose to Iowa next Friday. The wins are unremarkable and the losses are, for the most part, real bad. Bo's now 5-19 versus top 25 teams, and after seven seasons, it's not like he's going to shake up his staff. Fan apathy seems to be at an all-time high, too.  That said, I really don't know how I feel about it all. His sideline raging aside, he really does run a clean program and players both past and present love him.

My girlfriend asked me why we weren't watching the Virginia Tech-Wake Forest game today, and I told her that there was barely anything positive that could come out of the game. I said that, even if the Hokies won, Wake Forest was still one of the worst teams in the conference, so the win wasn't meaningful except to become bowl-eligible. I said all the other outcomes like winning with more injuries, or even losing, would be overall negatives. In fact, the only thing that surprised me later when looking at the score was that it required double overtime to get there. Since I already purchased season tickets, I'll be in attendance next Friday when VT will play UVA in Blacksburg. This may very well be the last VT game that I watch in person until there's a new head coach in Blacksburg. It sucks to think that what used to be so much fun is now a joyless chore.

well ASU looked like garbage in the first quarter and a half, WSU put up 600+ yards passing (like they do) and ASU won in a blowout, so I guess all is good. I hope Jalean Strong is healthy for next week in the Territorial Cup, that game is going to be insane and I'm very nervous for it. I'm praying SC beats UCLA tonight as that would re-open the door for ASU in the P-12 South. I believe it would also eliminate UofA, but I'm not positive.
