I like that Recursion powers were the biggest damage dealers in this one.

I was feeling bad about being off by 1 life because I thought that Luc was going to do 12 damage exactly, but then I realized that the first attack is free so he could do 15. That's a hell of a finisher, and trying to keep away from it was the biggest thing Gaspar was doing the last few beats.

Pretty much exactly that, yeah. Kudos to Gutter Owl on that last move; I was sure that the potential not-avoidable-by-dashing lethal damage on recursive bladestorm was going to force his hand.

Haha, good thing I was too stupid to remember that Bladestorm prevents dashing! :v:

But yeah, I've been trying to bait out that cancel for several beats now. I was likewise banking on the lethality of Temporal Recursion to force your hand. It came down to a test of nerve with the special actions. (Although I did still have a viable counter to Bladestorm in Memento Flash.)

Temporal Recursion is kind of a ridiculous finisher, with a damage potential of 18. Most "repeating" finishers max out at 8 or 10, like Aria's Laser Lattice attack.

Honestly, I should have respected temporal recursion more to begin with; either rushed you down before you had enough tokens to kill me or tried to position for a bladestorm clusterfuck that would take you down from just outside of finisher life. Good game all around.
