That playoff game was surreal. Actually everybody in the GDT screaming for RG3 to be benched, Shanahan refusing, and then a play later the turf crumples him like a twig as the commentators and fans react in horror but not out of shock.

It was how good he was. Then he tore his ACL. Then he got concussed at least twice. Then he had whatever injury he had this year. Add up all the injuries he's had, all the uncertainty he's dealt with, the coaching changes, the QB changes, and everybody in the league knowing how he plays by now, and it's not exactly controversial to say you've seen his best, and it doesn't look likely he'll ever reach that peak again. Certainly not in DC.
