I own both the SHIELD and SHIELD TABLET, through a bit of questionable decision making related to an NVIDIA discount. the SHIELD is decent for sitting on the couch gathering/crafting/questing in MMOs while my daughter watches Tom and Jerry movies for the 2.7e52nd time. the SHIELD TABLET is a decent Android tablet, to the extent that such things need to exist at all, which I suppose is not very much.

the tablet is meh from that perspective unless you connect a controller and then it's a way to play PC games away from the PC (as is the controller-mutant shield). it works pretty well when the network is up to it, as long as you don't have to interact with Android very much.
