Meh, more suspended for a whole bunch of noise complaints and then (presumably) being enough of an rear end when the cops showed up that they came up with something flimsy to haul him off. Especially since I assume anybody who is a "last chance" transfer comes with a pretty explicit short leash and they'd apparently already had meetings between him, the coaching staff, the neighbor, and the cops to get him to stop. Whirlwind Jones posted:What year was Bruner and the missed FT? Was that 2008? Brunner, bless his doofy bald heart, graduated in 05-06, and he was actually really good in that game even if he helped set up That loving Shot. I could have sworn Haluska was the guy who missed the FT, but I have no watched a single moment of that game since in happened and do not intend to. The box score shows that Haluska was perfect from the line so it probably was Bru. That season was actually awesome aside from the ending though. Erik Hansen blocked everything, Thunder Doug Thomas dunked all over fools, Horner made crazy long threes, Brunner jumped face first into people and got to the foul line, and they won a bunch of games and the conference tourney by just Big Tenning the gently caress out of people. It was mostly good times. 08 was the second to last year of Lickliter and it was decidedly not good times. MourningView fucked around with this message at 00:08 on Dec 12, 2014 |

WSU has gently caress-all for talent except for Lacy and it's pretty clear this year is going to be as garbage as the last few. the bright side is that its been immediately apparent how much better the coaching is – even with a roster full of dogshit they don't look anywhere near as lost on the court as they did during the whole Ken Bone era, which was an unmitigated disaster and waste of Klay's final years. Ernie rules and I just hope he can manage to recruit enough guys to give us even a slight turnaround. we're a difficult sell to recruits for a whole host of reasons, like every team in the P12 having better and more storied programs with more recent success and a bunch of non-P12 schools in the area with a history of performance (ex. Gonzaga, SDSU). if we can't get guys to play for Ernie then we have no chance at reaching Bennett-era levels of relevance again anytime soon, since he's as good of a coach as we can ever hope to get. at least I have a reason to be hopeful for the next couple of years before the inevitable failure and disappointment set in! go cougs wheez the roux fucked around with this message at 01:37 on Dec 12, 2014 |

Sucks about Poythress. Says a lot about this team's depth though that they can lose a player like that and not be hurt too bad. He wasn't the best player, but they'll certainly miss the energy he brings. I'm interested to see if the platoon system sticks now or not.

The platoons still work if they push Willis into that role, whatever you want to call it, in one of the platoons. If Willis keeps hitting some threes and his free throws, at least it's not the end of the world. It just sucks that this happens right before UNC.

7'2" C Trayvon Reed has joined Auburn's roster and is immediately eligible. Was like the #8 C, signed with UConn, then got in some legal trouble (like resisting or a minor assault after being confronted about shoplifting, but I may be thinking of another guy, this is Auburn). Bruce Pearl says he won't start immediately but might play at Clemson.
