Yeah this show was good in the surf boarding mecha category but I really prefer the roller skating robots and dramatic poses the other show had.

Eureka Seven has the worst and most annoying kids in animation history. I didn't watch past episode 20 but I hope the show ends with them getting thrown in a river.

I don't know why this show is so charming but it's great and has maybe my favourite anime soundtrack. The kids are horrendous though.

I mean, it has its flaws. I will not say it's a perfect show. I think the story is fun and interesting and all the main characters are likable and have some meaningful development throughout the course of the show. Eureka Seven AO could've been good but it's incredibly messy and just not good. Not to mention it completely shits all over the ending of E7. I loved seeing grown up Eureka though, and when Renton returned it was pretty bad rear end despite being such a bad show.

I like the song they used in the ending credits for the E7 movie but that's about it. Everything else about it is pretty tragic.

It's a good show from the start, it gets mega weak in the middle when they started adding poo poo about some stupid monk. Also the ending was totally changed from being a super sad tale to a happy one.

i remember thinking at the time of it airing that anemone and dominic being kind of superfluous characters and wouldnt affect the plot much if they were removed i think the most annoying thing in astral ocean was when they showed theend mech with no explanation for why it was there

I watched it when it was on Toonami 2 years ago and it is probably one of favorite shows. Probably one of the best coming of age stories I've seen/heard/read too

I find Eureka Seven to be an alright show. It starts out fine with Renton getting accustomed with his new life, becomes very engaging when the plot actually progresses, and then gets a bit unnerving with the introduction of Norb because it seems like everything dipped in quality after that. There are exceptions such as Ballet Mechanique but not much other than that.
