The modern revisionists and reactionaries call us Stalinists, thinking that they insult us and, in fact, that is what they have in mind. But, on the contrary, they glorify us with this epithet; it is an honor for us to be Stalinists.
A guy I know has offered to send me a Soviet book this month (a compilation of Marx and Engels on proletarian revolution) and another book next month. I'd like the second book to be voted on 'cause DEMOCRACY or something.

How it works is simple: you look at the list of books below and choose up to three of them you'd like to see scanned. Voting ends on January 1. If the winning book is bought out by some random human being before that date (these are fairly cheap books after all) then the second entry in the list is chosen.

You can find the books I've already scanned in the past here: https://archive.org/search.php?query=uploader%3A%22kocotosi%40gmail.com%22&sort=-publicdate (it's also where future book scans will end up)

Nope. The administrators of Marxists.org (which is mirrored by various universities across the world and who take copyright claims seriously, e.g. Lawrence & Wishart forcing them to take down the Collected Works of Marx and Engels) have told me that Progress Publishers books are not under copyright anymore, and haven't been since 1991.

Soviet books are actually quite good at doing this, the only issue you might have is that 90% of said quotes are by Marx, Engels or Lenin. :smug:

Kim Jong ill posted:

Gorbachev's memoirs.
Ironically (OR PERHAPS NOT SO IRONICALLY) they're copyrighted by Western publishers. Even a good chunk of his late-80s-to-1991 stuff (like his fairly long book meant to explain/justify Perestroika) was put out in the West by major publishing houses.

Economics is borderline quantitative enough to be barely within my sphere of interest but more like econometrics and game theory. No, I haven't read that.
