this was originally supposed to be a free game for PS4 owners on launch then they retracted that and said there would be a PS+ edition as well as a retail one, then the ps+ was just a demo, then they killed the pS+ edition, then they forgot to complete the retail game  PS4 owners so desperate for games that they'll accept a broken, unfinished mess just to to have something to do with their PS4

I just joined a club from my friends list. I joined Turbo Nerds that has Railchaser and RadValtar in it but if you guys don't want me in feel free to kick me out, I just got fed up of cars being locked because I wasn't in a club

I bought this game a few months ago, maybe put in about 6-8 hours into it total and I belong to a goon-run club. Can someone explain the advantages of being in a club? Is it better to be in a club with active members for multiplayer purposes or does it really just help out with achievements? I feel like so far, the multiplayer is more about leaderboards than actually playing together. On the multiplayer side, I was having fun the other night just doing time trials in multiplayer. A lot more satisfying to keep trying your best in parts of the track without some jack-rear end griefing you or loving up a nice run.

AFAIK, there are some cars you can only get if you're in a club, and being in a club makes it easier to get some people together for races.

I bought a PS4. Only game I bought so far was Driveclub, because I have tons of PS+ freebies stacked up and a massive backlog on every other system. I have a club, 2Fart 2Furryass where I'm a terrible driver in a club with a terrible name and all the cars look like bees rolled in poop. Added the last few PSN people from this page. I need laptimes and challenges, and ideally one person to join the club to unlock club challenges. SA: Parkingtigers PSN: ParkingtigersX I'm a terrible driver, but drat if I don't love chasing ghost cars around on hotlaps. Also, Spotify on PS4 makes this game godly. Can control the in-car stereo from the Spotify app on my iPad so I can cruise along roads between snowbanks in Norway with a playlist of '80s classics and yeah totally not regretting dropping 50 bones on this.

Driveclub also turns off the in-game music automatically when you use Spotify, which is pretty handy. Some games will require you to turn off the music in the game's settings. It might be the same for USB music too.

Spotify has turned Driveclub from a game I play for 30 mins before diving deep into something else, into a game I just lost 3 solid hours to chasing lap times. Just cleared all the rookie stars. I'm really liking the cockpit camera. Though when I try one of the supercars, which I am SO not ready for, I have to go to the chase cam otherwise I just can't stay on the road. I'll... work up to those. This is the first dedicated "realistic" driving game I've gotten into since Metropolis Street Racer on the Dreamcast. I usually need nitro boost or an open world to make me enjoy driving. This is just fine though. It's like the game was designed for filthy casuals like me.

Some of the high performance cars do let you inject Nitrous Oxide, although it's slightly more subtle than in Burnout.  Unlike Gran Turismo where you get a set amount to use per race, it replenishes over time fairly quickly.

Driveclub was so busted up at first that people are (rightfully) very pleased at its current shape. But I think there wasn't a lot of attention paid to how unconnected and pointless their social (read: the biggest single focal point other than actually driving) aspect was. Why are clubs QUITE so small? Why are clubs so uninvolved with/amongst their members? Why is interclub rivalry and competition so lacking/nonexistent? [Ed If a sequ....hahaha sorry.. If a sequel go-hahahahahaha...... Wait... I can do this. If a sequel got made, I'd want them to focus more on the social integration. Race days. Tournaments. The club equivalent of clan-matches. But we all know that ain't ever happening.
