The Binding of Isaac and Kerbal Space Program are both really fun. Kerbal's one of the only early access games I don't regret buying. If you like faux-retro games, Shovel Knight is pretty cool. Every once in a while I get an overpowering urge to play Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, which is simultaneously one of my favorite games and completely infuriating and maddening.

Runers is really good A+ would recommend Dungeons of dreadmore Binding of isaac FTL SPAZ I know people rave about Indie platformers and mining games all the time but I never really get into those.

Faster Than Light Shovel Knight Papers Please. The market is too saturated with "indie" titles (especially greenlight/kickstarter crap) at the moment but if a bunch of goons say it's good I'll check it out.

Runers really slipped through the Indie cracks and got like no coverage but its tots worth picking up if you see it on steam sale. It has that right mix of arcade style replayability while still feeling like you make progress with each attempt (because you unlock spells).

indie games are worth playing just for the fact that they are actually loving colorful. aaa games have been stuck in brown-grey shitstain land for like 10 fuckin years now, it's nice to actually see brightness and color for a change.
