I had to google it at least. Then again I'm from Europe so make of that what you will. What I was taught of the Pacific War in school amounted to "Japan saw an opportunity and struck against the USA and eventually the latter wanted to speed up the war and dropped two ATOMIC BOMBs"

I was thinking more modern day. I would be very surprised if Boeing could sell an F-22 to another nation without the US government's consent.

No, the majority of the F22s systems are ITAR. Probably even the frame and skin since they represent billions in stealth and composite materials research.

Occasionally the government puts up demilitarized equipment for sale. Even ships and planes.

Yeah, there was that time like 11 years ago where goons in GBS wanted to raise money to buy a decommissioned aircraft carrier.

ITAR has nothing to do with it. Anything manufactured in the US that even resembles a strategic weapon is ITAR controlled, but you can export all that poo poo, you just need to do the paperwork. But in the F-22's case, Congress has specifically passed legislation to block any foreign sales. So the F-22 will remain a US only aircraft for the foreseeable future.

Also, the F-22 is technically a Lockheed-Martin product, despite Boeing manufacturing a big chunk of it.

Operation Glacier, combat reports on a nifty WITP online map. Click the red things!

Going to have a neat semi-interactive AAR software for my PBEM because my PBEM partner is taking too long with his first turn!

This is such a better UI than the game that it makes me sad.

I keep wanting to get into WITP, since I through all that loving money on it but I can't seem to get more than a month or two as allied vs AI before realizing I forget something important in week 2 or just get too loving angry at the UI.

This is incredible - is it auto-populating the map via the dumped combat reports?

Yeah! My next step will be to import units and bases from witp tracker's csvs and such.

Then I want people to be able to post comments on units and bases; post links and youtube videos as well in the comments for the units, advice for the two players: myself and TheHistoricalGamer.

After that I want to see graphs over time of combats, eg one could open a graph of all the casualties from land combat on a specific hex.

China actually bought a decommissioned aircraft carrier claiming that they would turn it into a casino. Of course, the fact that it would need to be towed from Crimea made that story even more unbelievable then it normally would be. The Chinese had to negotiate with Turkey for over a year to get it out of the Black Sea, and it couldn't go through Suez, so they had to tow it across the Mediterranean, down to the Cape of Good Hope, and then all the way to China.

This is all fantastic - just having the graphical representation of all the events on the map makes it so much easier to follow.

Is there a possibility of releasing this as a tool that others can use for their own games?

And it goes without saying that it is now being used as a training ship and not a casino.

Your LP's high-quality arrows and dotted lines combined with an explanation of upcoming strategy is still several orders of magnitude better than the raw combat dumps of Matrix AARs.

To be fair, China did buy two previous aircraft carriers and turn them into resort/attraction/casinos.
