It's also somewhat likely that the coaches still haven't decided who's going to be the main starter and want to give Comrie another chance to make his case. I'm attaching extra importance to this Canada - US game because it would be so like Russia to lose to the Czechs today and finish 3rd in Group B. That is not a quarterfinal match-up I would want.

This game has an interesting dynamic so far, where the US seems to be doing a largely good job at containing Canada's breakout but every now and then Canada gets a good rush and looks absolutely incredible.

Ya. The US has seemed to have more instances of sustained pressure in the offensive zone too, but Demko has had to make more dramatic saves. Fun game.
