Theres also time travelling and a lot of rape, so YMMV I tried to pick up a book about something similar (Operation Mincemeat, they did the same thing to convince Hitler we were attacking Sicily and not Normandy) and it was just so drat boring. Maybe your guy realized this and threw in the time travel and rape for good measure. Here's another one that you actually have a shot at bringing up, what with the movie coming out. Alan Turing made what is possibly the single largest individual contribution to winning WW2 by cracking the Enigma code. The British government prosecuted the man for homosexual acts less than a decade later and chemically castrated him as part of some hosed up ongoing medical treatment, leading to his suicide two years later. It'll be interesting to see where Hollywood ends the movie.

in japan there is a virus that only attacks women. it makes them gasm virtually nonstop but it doesn't seem to have spread very well outside of japan. its almost like it can only exist in a country of weird sex stuff........
