I have a rule that I will not nominate more than one match from a PPV for MOTYC. I also... I don't know. I don't ask that a match feel better than the last thing I nominated for MOTYC now, but I do ask that I take a look at it and say, "I'll have to think twice about whether this or that was better at the end of the year." Right now? I loved the #1 contender match, it was great at what it did, but a little short. The women's match? It might be the best women's match I've ever seen, and booked beautifully with no weak links. The championship? Something I've never seen before, and something I'm going to be considering for a while. But are any of those close enough to Nakamura's masterclass at WK9 that I can even see my self pausing to consider voting them over it in 10 months? Probably not. So: HM: Adrian Neville vs Finn Balor, NXT Takeover Rival HM: Charlotte Flair vs Sasha Banks vs Bayley vs Becky Lynch, NXT Takeover Rival HM: Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens, NXT Takeover Rival Really, though, if in ten months this and WK9 are the two best PPVs I see all year, it's going to have been a banner loving year. Excellent card, and this is why wrestling is fun.

MOTYC: Reigns vs. Lesnar vs. Rollins, Wrestlemania 31 HM: Orton vs. Rollins, Wrestlemania 31 HM: 7-Way Ladder Match for the IC Championship, Wrestlemania 31 easily the 3rd best card I've seen in 2015 to WK9 and NXT Rival, and holy poo poo it was good

Nakamura-Ibushi is narrowly ahead of Bayley-Banks at Brooklyn, and after that there's a pretty big gap, and then a set of maybes for third place like the Fenix-Muertas Grave Consequences match, the triple threat at the Royal Rumble, Banks-Lynch at the May Takeover, and the first Owens-Cena at MITB.
