Druids used to drink menstrual blood as part of a fertility ritual therefore it's Good and Normal to do so.

It is actually quite interesting, we learned a great deal about bioregulation from having a near encyclopedic knowlege of what happens in the menstrual cycle. I mean basicallly the birth control pill is just humans saying gently caress no to the menstural cycle and totally loving with it by keeping hormone levels incredibly high to simply prevent the certain parts of it from over ocurring.

They're literally just fake pills you take to keep you in the pill-taking routine that week, you could get the same effect by not taking anything. And if you want skip periods, you just skip that week and move on to the next pack. The rings are basically the exact same thing, just in a ring.

The IUDs are the main exception, as there are metal ones that aren't hormonal but between metal allergies and not too uncommon complications (like the 3 women I've known that tried it had the neverending cramps thing and had to get it removed) it's not a perfect solution either. They really just need to release some of those male BC things they've been testing in india over here because modern BC options still kind of blow and either seriously dampen the fun, are permanent, or gently caress with your mood and poo poo. Apparently the pull out method is on the rise in our generation because nobody wants to deal with it. There are plastic rings. Y'all baby crazy
