I've been watching Durarara recently so I can watch the second season that's currently airing, and it's pretty good so far. I didn't realize it's similar to Baccano with how it orders scenes, and Izaya is an entertaining troll.

my problem with durarara is that izaya is clearly the author's favorite which, isaac and miria were obviously his favorites in baccano, but they were funny

same except for how much focus is put on the school kid trio, who can't carry things nearly as well as isaac and maria apparently mikado becomes cool though so we'll see

Death Parade's finally on Hulu so guess I'm watching it tomorrow because I watched a bunch of Akagi tonight. I hate being a week behind on everything Funimation gets but I'm not giving them $5 to use their lovely player.

i finally watched the first episode of arpeggio of blue steel; i really liked how the cgi isn't the complete trash japanese computers usually spit out. also i like how they didn't sexualize the little submarine girl unlike a certain other boat-girls franchise plot seems pretty dumb but hey its an anime

I think you'll notice at first it's pretty standard stuff and then you get to the point where the guys are trying to destroy a calendar to stop a time loop and dancing with Jon Travolta.

It's really inconsistent but worth watching because the moments where it hits are unlike anything else in anime today You have to throw out the idea of an overarching story, it's all one-offs with the same cast and some of them are really funny, some surprisingly emotional, and some basically an acid trip. Not every episode works for everyone, I hated an episode that a lot of people seemed to like near the end of S2. It starts out kind of normal though. By the time you get to the end of episode 4 (Zombie) you'll get a good idea of how weird it gets. For me episode 7 which is basically Space Speed Racer is the one that got me fully on board

Doin' what I do I Am A Hero is really good and you should read it Skip his insane rantings about manga and whatever in the first volume because they don't matter but otherwise, soak it all in as the story progresses The art is loving outstanding too
