I think it depends on where you are in your life. "The Wall" is great for confronting issues developed during your developmental years. A teenager or young adult could certainly enjoy "Dark Side," but can't really comprehend its message. Once you hit your late-20s/early-30s, the themes in "Dark Side" come to life and you can finally understand the album's genius.
