Help, I'm stuck in an electronics factory in Huangpu. I've been here a week and need to spend another being an "engineer" even though don't have a clue about manufacturing and I barely speak any mandarin.

On the lighter side of things, I caught a glimpse of the Pearl River from Guangzhou yesterday night and it was gorgeously tacky the way only Chinese things are. It makes me bummed out that I'm here for work.

Actually, there's something I wanted to post about forever ago, but I kept getting sidetracked. He was kind of the inspiration for my posts, and also why I stopped updating or being so open about it.

Back in 2007, I was in Shanghai and read a blog on blogspot (when it was open in China) about what I believe was a UK guy banging women in China. His blog was basically a mix of sex stories combined with life stories/issues about the women he knew (the same kind of format I was attempting recently). He was vague about his job, but spilled some details about his age and what city he lived in (I think Beijing, and in late-30s or early 40s). It was fascinating to read about the weird things he got into, the life stories of the women, the issues they face, and his opinions on the current cultural and societal issues related to modern relationships in China (and the ever-present Leftover woman problems).
All of his posts were with willing women. Sometimes it seemed like he was bragging, other times it was just weird, and it was in the age when QQ on the computer was about the only way you could randomly meet people. He met these women in all sorts of places, often through his job (probably an English teacher).

Anyway, his blog caught the attention of a local Chinese professor teaching a university in the city he lived in. Like the goons who read my stories, there was already some white outrage comments on his blog that adult men and women would do things together, but the Chinese professor basically had a meltdown at the thought that a foreign guy would dare do it with consenting Chinese women. He sent some angry emails to the poster, and put up public posts of hate on his own blog, for students and media to read.
The idea was that this evil foreigner was ruining Chinese women, stealing their purity, and basically disrespecting Chinese culture and Chinese men for daring to bang any of them, let alone a bunch of them. It was absolutely the white man's fault. Much like the West has "Think of the children," the professors campaign became "Think of the women," trying to prove that adult women are idiots and can't make their own decisions, and this whitey guy was taking advantage. A Chinese man would never do such a thing to Chinese women, everyone knew that. It was a foreign problem come to China.
Chinese men had a tough time finding love, and needed to protect their best interests and the women, and this white guy had to be stopped. The professor translated some choice bits of the guy's blog as evidence that he was a filthy lecher out to destroy China, riling up non-English-speaking Chinese neckbeards men and students to do something about it.

The white guy made the mistake of not making his public blog private immediately, and to actually respond to the professor and the growing posts of hate calling for his immediate death and/or deportation. This, of course, made it all worse.
It became a big controversy on several English blogs, mostly China focused, but also across Chinese blogs at the time.

The professor implored police and government to figure out where this guy's IP and computer were connected, but I guess nothing came of it. Many lonely virgins gathered together to comb his blog and piece together from his stories the area he lived in, his general appearance and age, his nationality, and possibly even his job. A few of them got together and formed roving gangs, going through the alleged neighborhood looking for any white guy that might fight the description. I believe a few random white guys got beat up or accused, and it made a big problem for any white guy anywhere near the city.

These Chinese men wanted to beat him up, jail him, hang him, or at least ban him from China. The blog poster had never committed any crime. All he did was talk about banging women, or posting their problems faced being a woman in China, or the issues with Chinese-Foreign relationships, and more. Due to this alone, the incredible masculinity of Chinese men was deeply, deeply hurt and someone had to pay. The professor incited a huge commotion, trying to be the bastion of women's rights and Chinese culture. He was old and wanted to be a Good Ole Boy, and China being back what it was then (it really has changed a lot since then, it's almost surprising), he was able to rile up a lot of people to his cause.

The blog was made private and I believe got deleted. The guy fled, at least the city, and it all calmed down after that. It was a great scandal because there was a clear enemy. It wasn't like Muzi Mei, who people just thought was a whore and poorly raised and a testament to Chinese culture falling apart (as if the Communism played no role). At least the foreign guy was clearly the bad guy and the women were the victims every time. It was my first real taste of how amazingly sensitive and butthurt Chinese men get over their women being with other races and nationalities.

All it takes is one person to make a problem. I have a ton of stories and things I can post, way more than what I normally do, but I remember this guy and I hold back. Goons are giant babies in general, and I'm not sure I want to be on the receiving end of a Helldump-ish SJW who is so very angry that a man and woman of different races spend time together. We already know I am apparently an ugly sex tourist buying factory workers and am only in Asia because I need to buy women and be a lecher. People will be people, though.
