Epics have been made harder again.
Labyrinth slightly nerfed.

Previous patch info and poo poo returning people should read here.

Pocket Knights is a F2P RPG for the iOS and Android Platforms in which you collect cards to form teams of heroes to progress through the game. Most of the combat is automated, so your role comes down to designing and equipping your team properly, though there's no shortage of things to do in the game as each update brings in something new. Pocket Knights is a also a game that is very loose with its freemium currency, to the extent that you'll be able to do almost anything you want in the game short of min-max rare spawns of 5* and 6* units. Combined with frequent chances to buy important items with normal currency, it's very easy to get (and stay) ahead if you know what you're doing.

iOS/Android PK Wiki

Getting Started

Goons are on the Jamel server, guild KindomOfUs. Post name in here then apply when you hit level 50 .

Do the Tutorial. It's a little barebones in some areas, though it introduces you to a variety of basic concepts. It will teach you how to do normal/elite dungeons, claim quests, modify your team, level and evolve them/gear, summon heroes, and use the tower. Claim everything from the quests and constantly check your mail. You'll be getting a ton of the early on achievements and those extra diamonds will help with your new hoarding compulsion.

Choosing a starter: currently no starter has a downside till very late game so choose who looks cool. You can also change your starter at anytime for a price.

Jansen: warrior/melee. 100% chance to stun a random enemy, 1 turn.
Talia: hunter/range. 100% chance to poison random enemy, 1 turn.
Rhee: mage/range. 100% chance to confuse random enemy, 1 turn.

Put warriors up front with hunters and mages in back. The tutorial will give you Merila as a 2nd character. She's a mage but keep her up front till you get a better tank.

Once hitting level 50 tap the Guild button and apply for KindomOfUs. Go through the list and start adding friends. Tap a person's name, see if they're active then tap Add Friend. Make sure and post your name in thread. You can use your friends in dungeon battles once every 30 minutes.

Action Points are recovered 10 an hour and energy 1 every 15 seconds.

So.Much.Stuff..
Here's some pro Do and don'ts and poo poo to remember. After that is world/menu overview, gold making then hero/gear talk.

All in game times are EST. Reset is at 12am.

Free daily stuff! Click your icon top left to claim salary. Castle starts with 3 free collects. Event Hall 12pm-1pm and 6pm-7pm collect 40 action points/300 energy. Hidden Training: training rooms every 8 hours for extra exp and honor, every 4 hours upgrade some gear and jewlery. Under quests Bounty Quests for gold.

Only use courage gems for event chests (and eventually Gen. Gorham pieces for hero exp).

Heroes Gate has double awards at 11am-2pm and 5pm-8pm.

Guild; Operation>Contribute(just gold is fine) Guild Events; War sign up between 7-8pm lasts till 8:30. Remember to rejoin!:argh:. Maske tower 7-7:30pm. Guild Boss starts at 3pm, can summon 2 more after 1st is dead. Daily Guild Tasks for gold/exp/metals.

Don't buy heroes piece by piece. Save up all the mats first.

Too Much Gear/Heroes! Go to fortify/Adv. Functions then refine hero/gear.

Level 90 opens up Royal Door(daily energy/action points pots) and Labyrinth.
Level 95 opens up Underground, totems and the use of astral stones.

:siren: World Chat is always 95% wrong. Ask questions here or in guild chat.

General World and Menus Overview
Starting from left to right, then going on to the menus:

Hidden Training. Go here to find a room to train in for free exp and honor.
Blacksmith/crafting: every 4 hours get exp for gear and jewelry.
Hero set out: you get some exp and a chance at a 1-6* bag with refine stones or courage gems. Not really worth the investment To get more spots.
Rebirth: turning a select few 6* heroes into 7*.
Reforge: replaced transferring. Here for a price you can "break down" hero/gear and get all the mats back. The upside being you'll get more stones/crystals and if what you're reforging is awakened you'll get those mats back too.

Arena. Here is the place to pick up recruits slaves to work in your alchemy lab. When starting off only hit the person on the bottom of the list. You do NOT want to raise up in ranks. Extra arena attempts do NOT stack past 10 in the arena tab after reset.
Cross Server Tournament pits you against players from other servers with awards for the top 100 in bronze/silver/gold. You can also claim a gift daily.

Royal Door. Provides 6 large action/energy pots daily and you can exchange essence for various items.

Summoner's Gate. One of the several ways to get Heroes.
Normal takes pal points to use and is mostly used for quests and fusion stones. Using the 120 times button will make all heroes 1-3* into fusion stones except for chest monsters.
Special is free every 24 hours and gives a pink gem along with the hero.
Supreme should only be done when you have the tower task of summoning x10 to get 25 vouchers back. Each single summon has a chance to give 5-20 pink gems. Your first ever x10 summon will get you a 6* hero.
Special summon vouchers can be done around twice a month if it gets put up as an event. These vouchers you get from event tower bosses and maskes. Has the same button as normal summons to turn in 500 tickets at once and turns 1-3* heroes into fusion stones. Has the chance to summon 2 6* courage heroes and various 5* courage heroes.
Pink Gems are used here in the Pink Exchange. Takes 800 pink gems(40 a piece,20 total) to get one of these 6*s.

World. Here you will find normal/elite/epic dungeons and mines. You must clear the normals to go into the elites and thankfully every battle is skip-able now. Getting 3*s in every normal/elite/epic now gives gifts at 16,32 and 48 *s. You can auto battle at as long as you have tokens (drops from guild chests, bought in guild shop and Emporium). Only run normals if you have a tower task or there's an event and only do 4 8 12 16 (for refined stones). Epics start on page 2 and drop mats for 7* heroes.
Mines are completely redone. You now have normal 4-6* and elite 4-6*. In normal, once you beat the NPC, you can have 2 of each the 4-6* mines with different mats to farm. You need a spare hero of that * rank to mine it. Elites you can pick and choose what to mine with a 2 hour protection limit then it's fair game to get ganked. You can also choose to help out a friend. You can use any 4-6* hero to help but the higher level+tier the more you and your friend will make in elite mines.

Castle. Go to collect gold/honor/runes after reset. More free collects with higher vip level. Evolve this building after you level up to level up Magic House and Alchemy Lab.
Magic House. Level up after castle to gain more techs and spend honor. The best techs to keep fully leveled are energy and DEF(the one right under the first Energy). Pacifist is your chance to prevent critical strikes. Boss level raises the level of the bosses you summon in the event tower. Max Courage Gem you should't raise until you're hitting the 5k courage cap daily. The rest are pretty self explanatory. There's also guild tech which uses you guild contribution points+honor to level up. Your contribution is better spent in the guild shop.
Alchemy Lab. Level up after castle to get transmutes faster. Here is where you put your slaves to work from the arena. After beating someone go to Recruit and find them, battle and win. You can then go to Actions and put them to work. "guard" is a waste don't do that. Challenge is where your friends will show up if they're recruited. You gain prestige for freeing your friends and an enemy win or lose. Note: while recruited you can still get recruits.

Event Hall. Magic Pie at 12-1pm and 6-7pm and Palace at reset. The Exchange is always the same except when they add more for events.

Warehouse. Pretty self explanatory. Here's where you'll be combining gems/stones to evolve your heroes/gear. Only tip I have is to not level it up all the way as some quests want you to evolve buildings.

Demon Battleground. Has normal dungeons and guild dungeons. Drops mats for jewelry and the only place to get pieces for Stevie. Beating these will allow access to claim daily stuff from the guild dungeons and our mine (currently on page 2, Lake).

Tower/Vault. Tower is where you'll be spending a lot of time leveling up, making gold, and getting courage to run the event tower. There's 3 heroes you can set as your leader to make more gold; Evanston, Mysterious Merchant and Fabulous Merchant at 15,20,25% extra gold. You can also choose to fight for gold. Starting out only choose Encounter to fight, not Leader board. When running into the merchant in the tower the best deals are moonchests and spin vouchers. Tower tasks start appearing around chapter 10. The ones to do are buying starchests, run dungeon 30 times and supreme summon x10. There's also War which is a cross server battle. Not much in rewards but keeping that counting down will ensure you only get tower tasks. Don't do offline tower. After you get to ch 10 x5 each chapter. You get a small stackable bonus to gold/exp in all the towers for doing this.
Vault is dumb. In the shop you can buy a Treasure map for 20 diamonds and with 300 energy you can run 1. Has a very slim chance of dropping worthwhile heroes/pieces and should only be run once to see how dumb and a waste it is.

Hero's Gate. Different awards daily with double awards at 11am-2pm and 5pm-8pm. Best time to run is at 11am. Redone in 2.8 they are significantly harder. Stick to ch2 starting out.

:siren:Buttons blinking everywhere

From left to right top to bottom:

Constellation. For starter characters only. Drops mats that you'll need much later on to tier up your starter. Only use the constellation pieces to combine into power stones.

Quest. Do these, all of them. Scroll through them and do all the ones you can. Bounty quests provides a ton of gold. Tower tasks count towards quest points.

Events. List of events that change from week to week, holiday to holiday. VIP weekly and exchange are constant. Can be some great rewards for doing stuff you'd be doing anyways.

Lucky Shop. In here you will find 6 shops and the Fate Spin. Completely redone 2.8 the shops now offer great deals for various mats. Fate Spin uses Fate Vouchers which cost a lot to get. The Fate Shop refreshes once a day with various hero pieces. Deer White is 200 pieces and I believe the rest are 20.

Rewards. For gaining vip levels and doing some other stuff you'll get some stuff.

Daily Mission. Resets every night at 12am. Check in to get rewards 5 times a month and 4 nifty items daily.

Event Tower aka Pirates/Demons/Storm/Pharaoh ect. This is the place to earn courage gems. You gain courage to use from the regular tower, like energy. As you pull more bosses their level increases and get harder to kill. At 600k, 4m and 15m event score you'll get an Event Chest which contains pieces for kings gear. It's easier to get bosses in time limited than regular. Getting higher in either gives more gold/exp.
In the event tab is a button marked "Courage". Here is where you spend courage gems. Get courage chests for a chance at getting an Event Chest. It's all RNG but roughly 50 courage chests will get you an Event Chest. Also Gen. Gorham is sold here. Use him to level up your other heroes quickly.

World Boss. Pops up every other day. Drops mats for 6* Holy gear. Save all these mats.

Labyrinth. Run a gauntlet of NPCs till you're dead. The Lab store offers various stuff.

Underground Similar to Layrinth except your heroes only have their tier and level. Can swap formation around and sub in other heroes in between rounds.

Shop. Tons of overpriced stuff with some exceptions, unless you're a whale.
On sale: Large Action/Energy are good. The rest you can get doing anything else almost.
Emporium: You'll wear out a nice hole in your screen where the buy button is for Star Treasure Chests. Refine Stones for pal points is pretty good.
Refill: :10bux:
VIP: List all the stuff you get for spending way to much money.

Chat. Don't bother asking questions in world chat. People are wrong the majority of the time. Ask in guild chat. Has the most nazi of censors. I'm coming. Friends!

Mail Always check it. Pro tip: revenge mail stops at 10, keep those and all the good mail will be on top.

Cards. Here's one place to view/evolve your heroes and gear.
Hero Card: Shows your equipped heroes and the place to use Hero stones with the Power Up button. Power up your starter till you get some 6* heroes.
Gear Card: Shows your equipped gear and bonuses for tiering up. Sliding the helmet in the top left to Enhancing brings up a menu to enhance your gear. Not worth the 25 diamond cost for enchanting stones till late game.
Astral Power: Use Astral Stones here. Has some skills that the Magic House doesn't have.
Power up: Use hero stones to power up heroes.
Jewelry Card: Same as gear.
Evolve Gear: Shows what mats are needed to evolve/tier up. The dumb head on the top left switches it to jewelry.
Evolve Hero: Same as gear.
Rebirth: For 7* heroes.

Fortify. Here is where you can level up heroes/gear, make fusion/refine stones and Awaken heroes and gear.
Hero Fortify: Select a card then materials. Item Fortification allows 1,000 at a time.
Gear Fortify: Same as hero. Faster to go to Equip(next button after Fortify) to choose gear to fortify.
Adv. Functions: Fuse hero allows you to "awaken" it so they use their crit skill in the first round. Takes 3 fusion stones to that heroes stars ie a 5* hero takes 3 5* fusion stones. 5* heroes you can do under 100% success rate. 6*s need 100%. 3 6*s of the same hero will equal 100% otherwise you'll need 6 6*s.
Combine Gear/Jewelry are the same except gear takes refine stones and jewelry takes demon crystals.
Refine hero/gear/jewelry gives fusion stones, refine stones and demon crystals.

Equip. Dick around with your formation, gear and runes here.
Equip Hero: Shows your equipped heroes and gear. Click a hero to bring up a list of heroes to swap with. Click a gear piece to fortify it. Drag a gear piece to the right to unequip it.
Formation: Drag heroes around and also set your leader skill.
Rune: Takes 3 to combine to next level, can have 4 per hero, 6 for a 7* hero.
Analysis: Your title score will always suck.
Alt: Here you can add heroes to make your team more powerful. Heroes have "combos" when used together as a team and can greatly increase your overall power. You can power up your alts just like normal heroes and that's very much late game-ish.

Guild. Butts. All times in EST(server time)
Guild Member: Operation>Contribute. Helps us with leveling up tech and gives you "metals" to buy stuff in the guild shop.
Guild Tech: Yup.
Guild Events: Guild War sign ups start at 7pm and end at 8pm. War starts at 8pm and ends at 8:30pm. If you die you can rejoin in 4 minutes. For the love of god rejoin. Maske Rebellion starts at 7pm, ends at 7:30pm and is basically a guild tower. Clear the 3 levels then auto play the last one. Great exp and gold for a small energy price for lower level people. Guild boss: 1st is free the next 2 costs 500 diamonds (you get 600 "metals" to spend at guild shop for summoning 1). You don't have to hit it to get rewards but you should if you want to finish the Daily Events. Guild Tasks are some easy quests for some easy gold/exp/metals. The refresh button refreshes the reward level for finishing the tasks. More stars more better. Guild shop has 1 unique item in Spirit Stones that you need to run Demon Battle Grounds. Best is the Runes and refine stones.

Friends. gently caress those guys.
Friend List: You'll want to praise as often as you can for pal points and the chance at extra energy.
Add: This is why your button is blinking. Add/cancel.
Suggestions/Invite are just that.

Mastery. Totems.
Mastery(totem): In the Royal Door Shop there are some cards you can get to unlock totems. The 4th one is the best pvp totem and the last one is the best pve totem. Only use Super Soul Stones to transfer/evolve, never to level the totem up. You'll need a lot of them poop stones. There's totem activation cards in the Royal Door shop that my alt is slowly getting, to get more info on em.

Album. Shows your progress on collecting and achievements.
Hero: Summon to fill out these albums and get skill bonuses and mats.
Gear: Same as hero.
Combo: Use the heroes listed to get a stat bonus.
Medals: Achievements galore.

:siren: Gold.

You'll need a ton of gold and it's very easy to get as long as you stick to a plan and don't spend it on stupid poo poo. Run the hell out of the tower, maske(guild tower) and Event Tower to start. If you choose to fight in the tower praise ranked players. Stay low ranked in the arena so you don't get recruited and you keep easy recruits in the alchemy lab. Unless for a quest only buy Star Chests from the shop. Also log off with little to no gold. When in doubt buy star chests.

Do all the Bounty Quests daily.

Selling hero pieces: Only keep a stack of 1 type of 3* and 4* you get from dungeons, for guild tasks. Only really keeper is Sir Rogas to run the labrinth with, starting out, and of course 6* pieces.

Flipping Star Chests: star chests have a ton of crap in them that's very useful for leveling up heroes and gear, along with getting moon chests, prestige, action points, energy, spin/summon vouchers, gold ect. After opening a bunch, sell all your 1* energy stones, 3* evo mats, moon/sun chest plans, 4* gear plans and Mysterious Merchant pieces(if you already have him). You'll want to keep your 1* dungeon crystals when you're just starting out. Now you have a bunch of gold to either buy more star chests or use that gold to combine your new mats with. Eventually you'll want to hold on to the 3* evo mats to exchange at the royal door and only sell 80% of energy stones. Flipping chests is also the fastest way to get spin vouchers to get 6* heroes. You need VIP 1 to open the vip bags. Takes $1 or a couple tapjoy offers to get. Very much worth it.

Heroes and Gear.

Currently it's very easy to get some top of the line heroes so don't get too attached to your 5*s and or evolve them too much. Getting a weak 6* is better than a strong 5* as your leveling and tiering up the 6* won't be wasted as you can transfer in to another 6*.

No matter what starter you chose here are some 6* heroes to shoot for to fill in your team:
Ethnia: warrior with high hp and def that self heals. Pink gems.
Eliza: hunter that heals the column she's in and attacks front row of enemies column. Pink gems.
Brend: mage with a 35% chance to freeze front row column that lasts for 2 rounds. Spin vouchers.
Candy Can: hunter that attacks front row and deals 12.5% damage of the attack for 2 rounds. Pink gems.
Zoey: Handicapped unicorn with a troll thingy riding it with 100% chance to creep people out.
Chiron: warrior that can stun a row. Pink gems in Summons.

List of mats to tier up heroes here.

7* Heroes

Curently Ethnia, Drog, Sir Regis, Exodus, Razorswine and Arthur can be made into 7*s. Requires tier 15, 150 Nopo Stones, 100 Magic Diamonds, 300 Rebirth Stones and 5m gold.

Gear
Getting top end gear is one of the hardest parts of the game. Progression is: gear from normal dungeons-4*/5* plans-Kings Gear-Ancient-Ancient+3 Holy Gear plans=Zodiac.

5* gear, Guardian (get plans from Sun Chests), can be transferred to 5* Kings (get pieces from Event Chests. Event Chests are from the Event Tower rewards and can drop from Courage Chests, roughly 1 Event Chest per 50 Courage Chests.). Once Kings is level 120 tier 12 it can be made into 6* Ancient. Takes 3 6* refined and 3 6* fusion to star up. 1 Ancient Tier 11 and 3 level 90 tier 5 Holy Gear can be made into Zodiac gear. Refine stones are the hardest to get. They come from refining gear, Emporium for gold or pal points, guild shop, tower and running normal dungeons.

Holy Gear info. Takes 60 of the dumb items you get from the world boss and 500 magic gems to make each.

List of mats to tier up gear here.

Jewelry
Costs 588 diamonds per 5* piece and gives huge chunks of power very quick. Mats are easily farmed in demon battle grounds and dungeon mines. To star up into 6* you need level 120 tier 12 awakened 5*. Takes 3 6* demon crystals and 3 6* fusion. You don't gain power back till tier 6.

List of mats to tier up jewelry here.

So I'm running
Candy Charon
Rhee (S) Glax
Candy

With Rogas in reserve and leveling up Glax to put in reserve for now.

What should I be shooting for next for heroes? Eliza to replace a Candy and then awakening a Candy still? What about the sixth slot? Tank or should I go for another Eliza to keep tanks healed?

Also seems like I need to keep some excess 5-6 star heroes around for mining with the new system? Does their level matter?

Getting Eliza is always a good move.

For mining, the level doesn't make a difference, and it's worth noting that if you have a friend mining something, you can stick a hero of any * tier in their mine. So if you have a glut of 5*s you can use them to mine in 6* elites that friends have going.

Candy Chiron
Rhee Glax
Mage Eliza(bu)

You'd want something like that . Can pick up Zoey for pink gems and transfer her to Brend for a mage. Then go for Ethnia to replace Glax.

For elite mines, level/tier does make some difference in gains but not needed.

Yeah, like why is the level requirement for that 90? My power rating is less than half of the first level of labyrinth. Mines are bullshit too, since it's basically impossible to do the first treasure pit now because by the time you can beat the npcs, you're like level 90.

Seems you can leave your mine right as your 2hr protection ends and then reclaim it to gain a new 2hr protection. In that protection time no one can take your mine from you. If you do snag a mine that is often dominated by the top 10 players use this trick to keep it.

Yeah, I was doing that for a bit in the Gold mine since that one is super competitive. I can usually do okay keeping myself in 2 slots of Master Hero/Jewelery/Gear at least without micromanaging.
Who do you guys think I should Awaken? Ethnia or Eliza? I'll be moving Elizia to backup when I get Brend in a couple weeks (worst case), so was thinking her for the come into battle on turn 2 and immediately heal the front line. Only have Rhee awakened of my 6*s. And I'm guessing that still doesn't transfer for heroes?

You can get so much further in lab with an awakened Eliza. Once you start taking significant damage you switch to do doing 1x battles and get a free 15% healing to start each battle.

Holy Gear info I'll be adding to the OP.

Takes 60 of the dumb items and 500 magic gems to make each.

Keyboard=weapons
Pen=chest
Calculator=belt
Notepad=cloak
Phone=helm
Blanket=boots

Besides jewelry and energy/action pots I'm thinking this might be the best investment for diamonds; getting extra attempts at the world boss for mats.

25 diamonds per attempt... and you need 3 holy gears to combine an ancient gear into a zodiac gear. So that's 4500 diamonds for one zodiac gear. Guess it could be worthwhile.

(yeah you could just get the holy gear which is better than ancient, but from what I understand, when you transform king's gear into ancient it retains level + awakening, and same when you combine into zodiac, so it'd be a waste to level up a holy gear to use from scratch)

I have no idea what the power difference between T12 king's and T3 zodiac would be though. I don't even have enough 5* refine stones to evolve all my king's gear so I don't see myself evolving a 6* gear past T3 unless they introduce an easier way to get refine stones.

Less than that but to get them any time soon yeah. I'm full on jewelry with a back up set in case a 2nd back up comes out so nothing to spend diamonds on.

Exactly my thinking and yeah ancient retains level and awakening. Zodiac better too.

It's p messed up when I'm at 24 fisted, 12 fisted+2 bar on jewelry and my kings I've had forever isn't even half as close as that. While there's more ways to get refined stones than demon crystals it's all 1*. At least have dungeon map 2 give 2*, map 3 3*.

ps. since you have 500 thraks and 10 billion magic diamonds you should consider coming back home. Just saying. :)

SERIOUSLY THATS DISGUSTING I'M TRYING TO EAT
I'm at the stage where I'm pretty limited by 6* mats for hero evolution, so I'm thinking it's time to start really tiering equipment. Everyone in the lineup and backup has a full complement of 5* jewellery + gear, which I've tiered to level 3 as a baseline (for the bonus).

Is it worth focusing on getting all of a particular gear category up to level 9 (say weapons for atk + skill boost) or incrementally increase everything across the board?

HPs for front line mostly. Focus on Belts & Amulets first.

Weapons, helmets, belts for gear and amulet, necklace and ring for jewelry give twice as much power as the other stuff so do those first.

It's a lot easier to evolve jewelry than gear -- you get ample demon crystals from battlegrounds (you should be running all the multiples of 4 from worksite onwards daily for stevie pieces anyway) and you can get demon coins from normal 5* mine.

For gear I'd evolve weapons first since the skill bonus is nice. Bow > wand > sword.

I had enough 5* stones to level 4 weapons and 4 amulets to t6. I think I'm going to focus on t-nining weapons/necklaces (for skill bonus / boss slaying) and belts/amulets for survivability.

Cheers guys!

Yeah thousands of demon crystals from dbg. Tens of thousands of refine stones too, but they're all one star :v

I just tried logging into my game and my character is gone. Anyone else have this happen to them? I'm on iOS

:v: I'm a moron

I think last time I played this morning I had hit the sync button in options not knowing what it did.

Hitting the Facebook button at launch seemed to fix it.

Patch coming right now:

quote:

+ Cross server Hero Gates.
+ 1.5x mining productivity.
+ Labyrinth Store: 25 stones to refresh
+ New Albums
+ Labyrinth has 4 NEW different levels! Players can even change the difficulty.

Sounds like a massive nerf to Labyrinth gold, so much for that. Mining buff is nice, it was already real good. Cross server hero gates should speed it up during the second double time hopefully.

Yeah, lab gold was insane, I'm not surprised that didn't last. Can't wait to see the tears over it.

Yeah, I'm guessing if they didn't also buff the amount of gems you get per day with the new level things I'm probably going to get about half as many star chests per day. Which I guess means less time I "need" to put in per day, but is also less fun.

aw they put the cooldown on mines back. Gonna be impossible to maintain all six mines 24/7 like I was before :(

Yeah mines got a ridiculous nerf compared to prepatch. 2 hour cooldown, going to be impossible to maintain too many mines without micromanaging the gently caress out of it.

Lab on the other hand seems about the same or maybe even a buff if you're high power? Hard lab seems easy to me and is giving double-ish the stones old lab was. Got 190 for getting to stage 27 and I'm still at full hp.

I mean, it's better that the mines have a cooldown so it's not just the top ten owning all of them

but, I was one of them, so :qq:
