I destroyed the love of my life's samsung galaxy s4 by submerging it in 65,000 litres of water, my 'friend' has offered his old iPhone 3GS as a replacement. I think this is a good thing. But I dont know anything about computers, I can't even programme, the only programming language i know is some HTML

I found my 3GS in a drawer while cleaning my home office last weekend. still the best feeling in your hand of any iPhone.

I kept my iphone 3GS on IOS3 for the 3+ years I had it and it was as fast the day I got it as when I got my iphone5 a few problems with apple stuff that make this strategy hard to follow: -each OS past the first major upgrade makes your phone slower, in some cases obscenely slower -you can't downgrade your OS when you find that out nasty surprise -because so many people update blindly (until IOS8 at least, heh heh) app developers only target the latest OS -it's basically impossible to get older versions of apps that run on old OSes except in rare circumstances
