Go to Target and there are some 3-4 pink aisles and half of them are for babies (immediately followed by the all-purpose baby toys section). Then there are some 8-10 blue aisles that blend into the sports equipment section. Girls can dream about being in high school like Monster High/Bratz girls, getting a job like Barbie, or bringing snow people to life/freezing their enemies/being a queen with a great singing voice. And they have a pretty feature length movie that isn't straight-to-dvd garbage.

Hasbro's littlest Pet shop and My Little Pony are two massive juggernauts that monopolize any toy isle. Also Jem is coming back this year.

ElGroucho posted:I just don't get the appeal, man Seriously. Tangled was just overall better paced and had much better music; Frozen knocked it out of the park with a few of the songs but kind of whiffed a few others and some also felt really shoehorned in. It also had something like 3 musical numbers in the first 15 minutes (or at least felt that way), and then the pace slowed down and then it just loving ended on "Fixer Upper." Tangled pretty much didn't have a bad song in it. The main thing Frozen has going for it are the two twists at the end and the fact that they finally addressed the whole problem of Disney Princesses launching themselves at the first good-looking dude they meet after a completely sheltered existence and having everything work out just fine, but in saying that Tangled also did good on this because neither main character had any real interest in getting into the other's pants at the time circumstances stuck them together.
