Been playing around with spinny stuff, if you put wheels on the sides of a square base, you can make the top spin around extremely fast without it tearing itself apart (most of the time...)

So after a few days seeing GIFs and poo poo on imgur those /v/ vids were the straw that broke the camel's back. And good god this poo poo is fun, it's so conducive to experimentation, the dev has got a great approach to this and if he ever adds a basic map editor this is one of those games that could go on forever.

There is no way to clone or remove a whole section of parts at once a la Kerbal yet is there? I've had a few times already where I'm like "This really needs to be one block forward except I need to place all 8 parts again manually" On the upside I managed to make a ballista that had vertical and horizontal aiming. So woo starting easy!

It's just a lever and a counter-weight with a bomb holder on the other end. You can use either sort of unpowered hinge and pull the launching arm down with rubber bands or detachable ballasts. What's nearly impossible, sadly, is traditional torsion-based ballistae or catapults. It's hard to create anything like a torsion-spring and the options for making a "pouch" type piece is basically limited to holders which are super awkward to use. I can't imagine leaving either of those pieces out of the full version so hopefully we'll see them soon!

I just tried to build a walker, but it kind of sucks and just ends up throwing a tantrum after a while. I want to add more joints, but my keyboard doesn't register more than two simultaneous key presses.
