Richard Sherman owns and I feel bad for him. He's a really good player who almost won his team the super bowl, and that reaction gif is the face of a man watching a bunch of other dumbasses piss away all his hard work.

The series of Seahawks incompetence at the end of the game was matched only by the Packers incompetence two weeks ago

I can't believe the series of plays to end the game, giving the Pats the ball, then giving them room to kneel, then giving them more room to kneel

Blacks in the back.
I can't even comprehend the thought process behind that call. I just have no idea how you think Marshawn is not getting that half yard. If he couldn't get a yard you wouldn't be in the Super Bowl. loving mindboggling.

If I was a Seahawks fan I would be so enraged. I was actually neutral for the game but I'm still mad just because the call was so stupid it made me mad on principle.

So which was dumber: "We want the ball and we're going to score" or the final play call by Seattle in this Super Bowl?

I'm really happy the Patriots won, but I'm not an idiot--if y'all give that ball to Marshawn Lynch we're not having this conversation right now.

The final playcall in this game might literally be the worst call ever made, so this.

seahawks exposed as frauds. turns out it takes a balanced team to win in the modern game. i guess a one-and-done gimmick team based on exploiting rules that were changed once it was clear that exploiting them was cheating has no chance at repeating.

We've been the best team all year.

They're just finding out.
The throw was fine, but the receiver got hit at the precisely correct moment to disrupt the pass without being any kind of foul and that was that. It was an idiotically risky playcall, the same thing could happen to Brady or Manning at their best with that call.

Couldn't Wilson just have ignored the play call and gave it to Lynch anyway?

He didn't "almost win his team the super bowl". He played well enough to rarely get challenged, but wasn't really playing against the Pats' best receivers by design. Like, nobody should ignore defensive contributions of Richard Sherman, but the Seahawks' defensive standouts were Wagner and the safeties, as is usually the case when the Seahawks aren't playing a team that's extremely dependent on a WR1.
