Even in cheap syndication, though, I can't see ROH losing as much of it's audience as already TNA has, and TNA looks like it's going to keep losing viewership as time goes by.

The Score (now called Sportsnet) has exclusive rights to WWE programming. They don't want/need TNA and in fact possibly couldn't take them even if they did. TNA wouldn't get on TSN proper, and that pretty much just leaves The Fight Network which already carries NJPW, some older ROH and CMLL stuff, and UFC.

Ah I forgot about those. Still, I think TSN doesn't want its brand associated with wrestling at all anymore. Maybe there's some other Rogers/Bell-owned niche channel that'd have them though. Surely Discovery has some DA-equivalent way up the dial where they could live?

Hyped for them taping 8 shows with nothing you'll find interesting on. Just endless "Gunner vs Bram" type matches.

The first time they did this they spent so much money on the ONO tapings they fell way behind on bills because they no money was coming in. It was hilarious to see the TNA Apologists on here talk about how TNA was smart getting away from money losing PPVs and structuring it this way. Then a few months later we found out they hosed themselves even worse and had their PPVs replaced by Up The Skirt Thongs Revealed.

They've gotten pretty good at it and they're hopefully not under the illusion that anyone's buying these. The ONO's have always been non-canon, no-storyline affairs. That said, there's a good chance that half the people on it won't be with the company by the time they air.

Much worse. Jarrett was boring but at least he had a fairly long reign where he went over a lot. Sabin as TNA champ was booked like a WWE Intercontinental champ. He was champ for less than a month and lost the title on his first defence, thanks to Tito Ortiz.

The match where Sabin won the title was more John Cena than any John Cena match, except instead of 5MOD his only offense was a hammer shot behind the ref's back.

He was the babyface.

WWE Intercontinental Champions are at least presented as vaguely on the level of the guy who beats them. Sabin got only slightly more offense against Bully Ray than Stan Stansky did against Ryback.

I should specify since Junpei might not have seen Sabin as champ, his reign was win over Bully Ray via hammer, fart around for a month, then lose the belt back to Bully via, as flashy said, of course, Tito Ortiz.
