El Generico posted:Hahaha, even Canadian sports networks won't take TNA. The Score is too good for TNA. The Score (now called Sportsnet) has exclusive rights to WWE programming. They don't want/need TNA and in fact possibly couldn't take them even if they did. TNA wouldn't get on TSN proper, and that pretty much just leaves The Fight Network which already carries NJPW, some older ROH and CMLL stuff, and UFC.

Still, I think TSN doesn't want its brand associated with wrestling at all anymore. Maybe there's some other Rogers/Bell-owned niche channel that'd have them though. Surely Discovery has some DA-equivalent way up the dial where they could live?

They've gotten pretty good at it and they're hopefully not under the illusion that anyone's buying these. The ONO's have always been non-canon, no-storyline affairs. That said, there's a good chance that half the people on it won't be with the company by the time they air.

Here's their recent history according to PWInsider (sorry for the formatting).quote:The audience for the 2/6 episode of Impact Wrestling (featuring Lockdown 2015) garnered 525,000 viewers, up from last week's 431,000. So they're at roughly a third of the viewership they had this time last year. flashy_mcflash fucked around with this message at 18:03 on Feb 10, 2015 |

It's frankly amazing that they were pulling 1.4M people last summer, and that was considered mediocre!

I'm not sure how much to make of Storm's tweet - I was under the impression that he was one of very few people that signed a longer-term deal. (even though this article says 'more to be announced' I don't think anyone else besides the guys listed is on a multi-year contract)

This is going to be the case with their regular show now too. I think the next time they're in the Impact Zone (sometime this month IIRC) they're taping something insane like 8 weeks of television.

There's an outside chance they might run Slammiversary in June as a normal PPV as well, but yeah pretty much. Even the extra hours of TV that they run, the extra hours Dixie always lamented they couldn't get with Spike but were so desperately needed to build characters and stories, are just chopped up replays of the main Impact show.
