This hot take has entirely simplified my own complex reactions to the Simpsons gradual decline in quality since I was 15 (WHICH WAS WHEN THE BEST SIMPSONS WAS) and I'm glad it exists.

Everyone always boo loving hoos about how bad season 9 is but I bought it on amazon and the first episode was Homer in NY, which I remember being good when I was a kid. It was so off beat and un funny, I didn't know what to think. Then the Armin Tamzarian episode was on and again, this is pointed out as the worst episode because of killing Skinner's character, but that's not the problem. The terrible animation and off beat writing suck donkey dick. In short, every episode of season 9 is loving garbage except the episode where Homer buys a gun,maybe the last good episode of the Simpsons if you don't count the Mark Hamill episode.
