http://www.polygon.com/2015/2/6/7991377/dc-comics-is-bringing-an-end-to-the-new-52 posted:

Starting June 3, the publishing line will feature 24 new comics and 25 ongoing comics. Despite the New 52 coming to an end, DC Comics confirms this is not another reboot, and it is not returning to a pre-New 52 universe.

"This heralds in a new era for the DC Universe which will allow us to publish something for everyone, be more expansive and modern in our approach and tell stories that better reflect the society around us," said DC Entertainment Co-Publisher Dan DiDio in a press release. "Whether you've been a DC fan your whole life, or whether you are new to comics - there will be a book for you beginning in June."

The relaunch will begin following the Convergence event this spring, which will see different universes from DC brought together by Brainiac.

In the wake of the Convergence event, DC will also be offering a Free Comic Book Day called DC Comics: Divergence. This is going to be made free at participating stores starting May 2 and feature three eight-page previews for the upcoming June releases of Batman by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, Justice League by Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok and Superman by Gene Luen Yang and John Romita, Jr.

The New 52 is a revamp and relaunch of the entire DC Comics line. In September 2011, DC Comics cancelled its then-existing titles and debuted 52 new series.

Let's see those swell new books!!

[e: During the second month of Convergence, eight page preview stories for the upcoming comics have been included as back-matter for the tie-ins. They're also available for free here: https://www.comixology.com/FREE-DC-Sneak-Peeks/list/6762]

New series'

'Batman Beyond' by writer Dan Jurgens & artist Bernard Chang

At last, Batman Beyond gets his own ongoing series in THE definitive future of the DCU! But this isn’t the Beyond you think you know! With the Justice League missing and without Bruce to guide him, this new Batman will need to explore this bizarre world on his own while fighting to raise humanity from an opponent that’s already won.
The heroes Batman knew have failed, the world he knew has been turned on its head, and every step he takes will lead him either toward finding home – or further down the road of disaster!

'Bat-Mite' by writer Dan Jurgens & artist Corin Howell (6 issue mini-series)

Bat-Mite is here to fix the DC Universe – one hero at a time! Convinced that he’s the imp that put Batman on the map, he’s spreading his expertise all over the DC Universe, eager to boost the careers of heroes he thinks need his “help.”

'Bizzaro' by writer Heath Corson & artist Gustavo Duarte (6 issue mini-series)

“Hate HARLEY QUINN? Then you will super hate BIZARRO! Bizarro star of worstest comic ever! Go ahead and miss it! If there’s one thing this issue not have it these two things: Jimmy Olsen and Chupacabras!”

'Black Canary' by writer Brenden Fletcher & artists Annie Wu and Irene Koh

Dinah Lance hits the road! After years as a soldier and vigilante, the LAST place Dinah saw herself is on stage…but she’s quickly learning she’d die to protect the gang of misfits she’s fallen into. And she just might have to – for some reason, the newly rechristened band Black Canary seems to be a magnet for trouble…and Dinah’s not gonna believe it when she finds out the reason why!

'Constantine: The Hellblazer' by writers Ming Doyle and James Tynion IV & artist Riley Rossmo

The dark adventures of DC’s foremost occult detective continue in an all-new series as he investigates the cruelest case he’s ever come
across – his own dark history!

'Cyborg by writer David L. Walker & artists Ivan Reis and Joe Prado

'Dark Universe' by writer James Tynion IV & artist Ming Doyle
'Dr. Fate' by writer Paul Levitz & artist Sonny Liew

You thought global warming was bad? Anubis, the Egyptian Lord of Dead, is preparing the flood to wash the world away. Standing in his way? An overwhelmed Brooklyn med student who’s been handed the helmet of Fate, without an instruction manual.

'Doomed' by writer Scott Lobdell & artist Javier Fernandez

In this startling new series, a Metropolis U student gains the power to transform into the monstrously powerful Doomsday! The power may be the key to fixing his life, but every time he transforms he risks getting stuck forever as Superman’s most heinous adversary! How far can he go before he’s doomed?

'Earth 2: Society by writer Daniel Wilson & artist Jorge Jimenez (ex-Earth 2)

The survivors of Earth-2’s war with Apokolips find themselves on a new world, but can Green Lantern, Power Girl, a new Batman and the other heroes of Earth-2 create a new world that’s better than the last, or will their interference and good intentions doom this world, just like the old one?

'Green Lantern: Lost Army' by writer Cullen Bunn & artists Jesus Saiz & Javi Pina

Imagine waking up in a strange place where you didn’t recognize anything, and everyone you knew and loved was nowhere to be found. Now imagine that you are a Green Lantern. The rest of the Corps is missing, you don’t know where you are and there’s not a Power Battery to be found for as far as your ring can scan. Where are you? How did you get here? Those are just two of the many questions facing our heroes.
Starring John Stewart, Two-Six, Kilowog and Arisia, and featuring a surprise guest-star we promise you’ll never predict, LOST ARMY is an incredible journey of discovery, survival, morality and heartbreak. Never has the Corps been challenged in this way – and not everyone is going to make it home!

'Harley Quinn/Power Girl' by writers Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner & artist Stephane Roux (4 issue mini-series)

Hey, remember the panel gutter between panels 3 and 4 of page 20 of HARLEY QUINN #12? What? You DON’T? It’s only, like, the most memorable panel gutter of the twenty-first century. Well, either way, have we got the miniseries for you, in which the full tale of that momentous and momentary pause can be told!
It’s a cosmic adventure beyond your wildest imaginings: Power Girl and Harley Quinn, stranded in a forgotten dimension, on the homeworld of the amorous warlord Vartox! They’ll sacrifice anything they have to in order to get home…except their dignity! Kidding! That’ll be the first thing to go.

'Justice League of America by writer/artist Brian Hitch

It’s massive widescreen JUSTICE LEAGUE action and adventure from superstar writer/artist Bryan Hitch! But something sinister is lurking in their ranks...something with ties to ancient Krypton!

'Justice League 3001' by writer Keith Giffen & artist Howard Porter (ex-Justice League 3000)

Travel even deeper into the future than before with the all-new JUSTICE LEAGUE 3001! They’ve managed to become the World’s Greatest Heroes of the 30th century, but with legions of foes gunning for them, can they stay alive long enough to see the year 3002?

'Martian Manhunter' by writer Rob Williams & artist Ben Oliver

Shape-shifting Martians are invading Earth – so where is J’onn J’onzz to stop them? Trust no one as the Martian Manhunter tries to stop these ruthless alien terrorists from destroying everything!

'Midnighter' by writer Steve Orlando & artist ACO

Spinning out of GRAYSON comes a solo series starring the man who can predict your every move… but no one will be able to predict what he’ll do next! A theft at the God Garden has unleashed a wave of dangerous biotech weapons on the world, and Midnighter intends to put that genie back in the bottle by any means necessary. But something else was stolen from the Garden as well…the secret history of Lucas Trent, the man Midnighter once was!

'Mystic U' (tentative title) by writer Alisa Kwitney & artist Mauricet
e: Delayed out of July.

'Omega Men' by writer Tom King & artist Barnaby Bagenda

The Omega Men are back in an all-new series! They’ve murdered White Lantern Kyle Rayner and now, the universe wants them to pay! Who are these intergalactic criminals – and is there more to their actions than meets the eye?

'Prez' by writer Mark Russell & artist Ben Caldwell (12 issue limited series)

Meet Beth Ross, the first teenaged President of the United States. In a nation where corporations can run for office, the poor are used as human billboards, and tacos are delivered by drone, our only hope is this nineteen-year-old Twitter sensation. But the real question isn’t whether she’s ready for politics – it’s whether politics is ready for her.

'Red Hood/Arsenal' by writer Scott Lobdell & artist Denis Medri (ex-Red Hood and The Outlaws)

These brothers in arms face off against incredible odds while burning their way through the underbelly of the DC Universe – and it’s only a matter of time until they get gunned down in return!

Well drat, DC might have more than a handful of books worth reading again.

Edit:
Hitch writing and drawing JLA? Ugh.
The Finches still on Wonder Woman? Ugh.
More Scott Lobdell books? Ugh.
Riley Rossmo on Constantine? Yes please.
Midnighter ongoing? Yes please.
Dr Fate? Yes! Paul Levitz? Ugh.

So many mixed emotions.

In fairness, Dinah's been shown to be in a band in Batgirl (I dunno about BoP) already, so it's probably just one of those convergent inspiration things. And Gwen's band look more Josie & The Pussycats compared to Dinah's "probably gets half-empty beer bottles thrown at her while drunk bros yell at her to take her top off" gigs.

Dinah has been thoroughly trashed on in the new Batgirl book at every turn, so I'm loving glad we're getting someone who can both write her and draw her well. Sign me up for Black Canary.

I am super excited for the Robin books. I also really, really wanna check out Red Hood/Arsenal. I love Red Hood and I love Arsenal, but Outlaws was...a dissapointment. Second time's the charm!

Midnighter ongoing...so cool. The Authority rocked and I hope this brings him closer to how he was then, rather then the N52's :gay: approach. Killing evil by moonlight, raising a family with Apollo by daylight.

If the person writing Midnighter takes cues from how he's written on Grayson (and with the spiral in the background they might connect it to that book) then I'm on board.

Major props to everyone who wanted that character back though.

Anyway, STOKED AS HELL for Red Hood/Arsenal. Their bromance was the highlight of RHATO and having them stuck together having adventures is pretty drat awesome. shame we lost Starfire but bette her than Roy (now just add Crux and we're golden).

Lobdell keeps writing duties and the book is just RHATO with a new coat of paint so characterizations will be the same and that is what I was more interested in.

Is also a shame that Silva isn't sticking around but Denis draws a mean Red Hood (and without the stupid expressive helmet!)

Amusingly, I've been watching his work on Deviantart for a while now

Other than that, very interested on the Bizarro and BatMite minis and I'm utterly baffled at "We are Robin". Definitely checking out the first issue.

I was really not interested in Son of Batman but dang if that picture isn't rad as heck.

Still I don't actually see any evidence that anything is being smooshed together or that any of the dumb editorial moves are being reversed. Superman and WW are still together. Everyone's costume is still bad. Cassandra is still mia. Is this really anything but a few new books for them to cancel in a year and the end of the new 52 branding?

Yeah, the Robin, Son of Batman book is clearly just your bog standard Robin solo, just with Damien instead of Tim. We Are Robin... I want to know more about the premise. Is it like a social media thing, where people realise there's been a bunch of Robins, so it turns into an informal Batman Inc. kinda thing or what?
It's kind of strange to see Tomasi leaving Damian after bringing him back. Hopefully this is just a temporary thing. Has Gleason ever written anything before?

As for We Are Robin, I could see it being a book about the concept across the multiverse. It's nice to see DC trying to give some iconism to Robin as a mantle. It's been around for as long as Batman but has given a lot of poo poo for various reasons. A good way to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the creation of Robin.

I suppose they couldn't really keep calling it the "New" 52 when it's heading into its fourth year.

Before we engage we should hang back and study their tactics.
Section 8 is gonna loving own bones.

Starfire gets her own series but still can't get a pair of pants.

There's a whole lot of names I've never heard on that list, and I can't decide if that's a good or bad thing.

He had a DC exclusive, and the Marvel exclusive does not seem to stop people from doing Image work.

I didn't realize he'd signed a DC contract. Well good for him!

This is why I like Tim as Robin. He's Robin squared. He's who I think about when I think of Robin as his own hero, seperate from Batman. Dick and Damian are both Robin the sidekicks, but Tim not only evolved past the sidekick role, but took the Robin identity with him.

I don't really care about Damian. He was so much better as Dick's sidekick. So, maybe this ongoing will convince me on his worth in a world where Bruce is still Batman.

Tim has never been my favorite Robin, but everything you said is definitely true in regards to him.

I think Damian has a good chance to stand on his own though. His powers will probably not go away anytime soon and it's nice to see him getting a chance to finally stand on his own after being attached to Dick and Bruce for so long.

I took out 'smooshes.' I guess the "different universes from DC brought together" was just talking about the plot of the event, not the outcome. I'm still expecting some degree of it, though. At least in a way of relaxing the history so Bizarro isn't going to have to explain any relation to B-0 from Forever Evil.

There aren't any solicits for these things. Maybe there'll be a Cassandra in the Robins gang!

Pretty hype for JLA. Loved Hitch's work on Heaven's Ladder he did with Waid.
