What we can do in the system now is advance research and expose conflicts of interest where they arise, and have frank conversations about the political and corrupt reality of medical research as it stands. Beware of blanket bans, since it reduces choice and does negatively effect the life of someone for which the product or medical procedure could actually help. The problem as I see it is fat discrimination itself, and how anti-fatness is being pushed so hard by public health officials in gleeful partnership with insurance companies that the �weight-first� approach, absurd from any true health perspective, is being put into practice as an actual guideline of taking care of fat people.
