The famine has been over for 30 years. Most of this forum hadn't even been born. Yet famine jokes are the first thing everybody thinks of. It's weird. The cafeteria were I work is run by Eritreans so we get to have Ethiopian food days every once in a while. That's pretty awesome.

Ethiopian good is delicious. I've been craving more for a while. They also make Tej, which is a drink made from fermented honey. So drat good. I'm salivating. The sour taste of injera is because it's also fermented; it's similar to the process and yeasts used in sourdough.

I know some folks from ethiopia and theyre proud and go back often. It is one of two african countries never to be colonized by euro powers so yeah... Sounds like a pretty cool place and their food is excellent. Yall are some ignorant rear end motherfuckers.
