Are those comparison screenshots accurate? That's mindbogglingly bad. Even a PS3 game looks better than that.

No. The final PS4 game looks a lot better than the "actual" graphics but not as good as the target shot although often it isn't really that far away. Also, it's got a ton of filters and motion blur going on, so freeze frames will tend to look a bit iffy, but nothing close to the "actual" screenshot there.

I finally caved and looked up what the plot behind this game is because I've only seen screenshots and the logo and it all looked painfully uninteresting. The story alone sounds like "A SyFy Channel Original Series - The Video Game," but then again that's pretty much most games, but I'm having a hard time understanding the hype around this one. This game was doomed from Day One when the brought up how they wanted to be "cinematic" and not let the gameplay get in the way of "their story". Devs for well-written, good games don't do either. Please all, consider contributing to the Shadowrun: Hong Kong Kickstarter over this. Even if you don't like RPGs. Even if you hate RPGs and will never play it. You will still be spending better money than spending it on this, which looks really dumb.

It's impressively bland and cynical in its attempt to capture both Gears people and Bioshock/steampunk people. Actually makes sense for a free to play game which is what this should have been. i watched a playthrough of this on youtube and if you don't count all the qte "interactive cutscene" garbage you spend about 2 hours and 10 minutes of a 6-9 hour game watching movies. also there are multiple chapters which are seriously 100% movies edit: also they're all unskippable Carew fucked around with this message at 01:25 on Feb 17, 2015 |
