If you name your kid Remington or Austin you are basically saying "I don't care if my kid ends up doing porn to make rent during college". Maybe this is some kind of super adaptive behavior to make their kids race known when it would otherwise be impossible. Like if you look at a job application you know McKhynleigh is a white person.

my state has actually pretty damned reasonable names in the top 5 of each gender imo Massachusetts Emma Olivia Sophia Isabella Ava Massachusetts Benjamin William Jacob Ryan Michael all decent names for males, though most ryans are probably douche bags sophia and isabella are both very pretty names but im probably showing my latin bias here E: this is for births in 2013
