HEROES NEVER DIE
No, they apparently wanted to go through a simulation based off old earth cinema and the safeties turned off when they "accidentally" told the computer to provide a villain that could defeat Data, again.

This guy came out.

Enterprise is much better than the Internet suggests but lol when you compare it to the mighty ds9, superb tos and majestic tng.

Imagine how a whole new season of tng being discovered would change the world.

DS9 was good, but took way too long to get really entertaining, i.e. the war against the Dominion and that badass little fighter ship

I will admit the charcaters were very good except OBrien because god gently caress off you boring loving irish shithead

My favourite part about star trek is its implied several times they operate in shifts.

So like the ship is flying through space and Jeff the Luitenant on the third shift (note a higher rank than Wesley Crusher) is there flying the Enterprise.

Since the Enterprise is like a prime posting and, despite it having a thousand crew members (and only one bar!) it's implied Picard gets involved in relatively low rank personal transfers occasionally, I'd assume anyone on board is loving good at their job. Like you could be a lieutenant on the Enterprise for years or transfer to some poo poo ship and be Commander in a few years.

So why is this lieutenant on the third ship, a competent and highly ranked spaceship pilot, happy to let Wesley Crusher just take over for him?

Yeah OK if the Captain or the Commander come on deck they are then in charge, but the rest?

Like hey there Wesley, I've been flying this ship for the last 3 hours and experienced all this space stuff that got the main cast called to the bridge but I'm just going to leave and let you fly without saying a word.

Didn't they do an episode once though that focused on basically the night shift of crew and they were all poo poo or something?

you:re thinking of 'lower decks', I think, which is a really good episode. You see the decisions taken by the officers through the eyes of ensigns and because they only know their own orders they don't get the full picture and what they're asked to do seems either pointless, risky or nonsensical.

oh um because oh i don't know, picard wants to bone crusher so bad and this is obv a move to get sweet with her and jeff, being both intelligent and only a lieutenant isn't going to stand on the tracks of picard's bone train, and getting on picard's good side is a very very good move for someone stuck in the most boring pointless job on the bridge that actually has a console

like srs its pointed out that, since the computer systems aboard starfleet vessels are good you can control them from anywhere, including the captain's little flip up dvd player. hell you can control them from another fuckin ship if you got the password

bitch sits in the chair and presses the buttons that correspond to exactly what the captain says. in fact the most retarded ferengi, who his crew even thinks is crazy, sets up the computer of the much older stargazer to just work the helm based on what the captain says. and he's the worst ferengi ever, who doesn't even know poo poo about anything

worst loving job, you're basically a stenographer who gets one line every five days
