 Aaaaaa, Theatre of War 2 is on sale right now on steam and I can't decide if I want to bother with it or not.

 This was a major criticism of the ToW games: the first game had a long campaign but core units just disappeared and reappeared constantly. In ToW2 the campaigns are so short it's incredibly difficult to care about experience upgrades. In both games there's a problem of actual unit choices per mission being so limited it barely matters.
